      <description>&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyStart:bc0c22f0-2a79-4e9b-b3ef-f67ee70f197e] --&gt;&lt;div class="jive-rendered-content"&gt;&lt;p&gt;North Collier Regional Park has a nice 2 mile loop trail through the woods that I like.&amp;#160; The Pelican Bay community has a great neighborhood to run and bike through.&amp;#160; Lovers Key State Park has some great trails to run and they also rent bikes.&amp;#160; I also like to go bike on Sanibel Island through the Ding Darling Nature Center.&amp;#160;&amp;#160; I haven't really looked for any tri clubs, but I know that there is a very active running club - the Gulf Coast Runners and I think the guy who organizes it owns a running store called Naples On The Run.&amp;#160; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The Golden Gate Aquatic Center has a 25m lap pool that I like...&amp;#160;&amp;#160; I am hoping to meet some other people who do the triathlon...but being a beginner, I think I'm a bit "shy" to jump right in...lol! &lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyEnd:bc0c22f0-2a79-4e9b-b3ef-f67ee70f197e] --&gt;</description>

I know I will just be telling myself...I think I can...I think I can...&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I think I was just trying to figure out what a realistic time to shoot for would be.&amp;#160;&amp;#160; Thanks to Jo Ann, I realized that the bike portion is a 15K (9.3 miles)&amp;#160; and not 12 miles.&amp;#160; I'm not sure where I got that number from.&amp;#160;&amp;#160; Anyway.... (eek)&amp;#160; I was thinking...."I should be able to bike 12 miles in about...hmm...45 minutes."&amp;#160; (keep in mind, I'm 41 and overweight)&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Today, I rode a stationary bike at a level 4 resistance (out of 10) for 30 minutes.&amp;#160; I was trying to stay focused and go as fast and as far as I could...which was only 6.9 miles.&amp;#160;&amp;#160; Obviously, if I want to do 12 miles in 45 minutes, I need to do 8 miles in 30 minutes.&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; I know there is a difference between the stationary and actually being out on a bike, but the course I will be riding on race day is very flat, with only 2 or 3 tiny hills (bridges actually)&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Is shooting for 12 miles in 45 minutes a reasonable goal for someone who is only in average shape...... or is it too slow....? &lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyEnd:081d7e7d-adfb-4f37-9f21-c31a48ffea88] --&gt;</description>
