Ok, it still hurt, but I made it. I even wondered if my phone messed up and skipped something. I hadn't ran in 4 days so I thought it would be horrible. Today is W4D1.....I'm scared! Run for 5 minutes, yikes!!!

P.S.

OMG!! I am so excited to have found this group....you guys are hilarious! So I'm a 33 year old stay at home mom from Texas. I have a 4 year old son and 4 month old daughter. I am very overweight!! Like I'm 5'7" and weigh 231! I gained 55 lbs with my son and another 25 with my daughter!!! Basically my husband who used to be a professional athlete is 6'3" and has always been buff and weighed 230...WHAT? He has gotten a little "fluffy" too so I know he doesn't weigh this much still, but the fact that I've reached this number makes me ill! I've pretty much been a different person since my son was born I know mainly because I've been so unhappy with myself. This weekend is my 15 year class reunion and I'm not going because I'm too fat I know it's vain, but I went to a very small school and I can't bear to see everyone and know they think I look terrible. I joined Weight Watchers too (online) and am really liking it. The WW app and WW scanner app are awesome! I've lost 7 lbs. in two weeks. I've finally decided after a lifetime of yo-yo dieting that I have to take it slow....baby steps. When I feel pressure to get it off quick, I always fail. Plus, WW is set up to let you have your "treats" or bad days because you get the allowance of extra points every week....not to mention you get extra points if you are exercising (which is where the c25k comes in).

So I started c25k Sept 22 and last night did w3d1 and didn't have to call the ambulance! yippee! This may sound silly to some of you but something that is really keeping me motivated too is Facebook. At the end of my workout (I use the Run 5K app on my iphone) it gives me the option to post my run on facebook or twitter. Everytime I've posted this at the end, several of my friends and family are responding and cheering me on. I must admit that this is very motivating! There is one friend of mine that has lost A TON of weight from running and I always like seeing her "like" my running post...it's inspiring. All those "runners" had to start somewhere just like we did!

I have signed up for my first 5K....the Gritty Goddess November 3rd. Think we have to run thru mud and all that fun stuff.

Okay, so some of you have a little yellow star under your name, what does that mean and how do I get one?

What about nutrition? How are you all staying fueled? Listen to me, "fueled" like I'm a personal trainer or something LOL I just don't understand why some days hurt more than others....can't help but wonder if I'm not eating the right foods on those days. Of course it can't be the fact that I have a 4 month old that didn't get the memo that she is supposed to sleep all night!

Well I'm really excited about this group and sharing this journey with you all! It's so crazy how this program is hard enough that you sometimes don't know if you can finish, but you can and you're so proud and feel like you got a really good workout in.....yet it's not so hard that you don't want to do it the next time. I've never been a runner either, but find myself looking forward to running eventhough it hurts. ??? What's up with that? I'm probably just vain and like bragging about it on Facebook LOL!

I promise all my posts wont be this long..I just had a couple weeks to catch up on

"Keep on Keeping On"
