They have instructional videos for EVERYTHING from stretches to super-abs!&amp;nbsp; I love that site!&amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I usually do light /slow runs up until the day before the actual race.&amp;nbsp; The day before, you want to spend it stretching, walking around, eating, watching tv.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The reason being, sometimes being tired carries over to the next day.&amp;nbsp; You want your race day to NOT feel like you've got weights strapped to your ankles.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Besides, the adrenaline will push you farther and faster than you ever thought you could go...Trust me! I cold turkey'd my first half marathon.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;As far as knee pain, try alternating the way your leg hits the ground. I'm "SlowPoke" for a reason and when survival is the GOAL, surviving a 5K holds less glory than surviving a 10K, half marathon, or marathon.&amp;nbsp; Don't get me wrong, 5K are one heck of an achievement.
