I'm going to follow with what jbrowshsptv said. I think they should make more softball club teams in the high school for the young men and women. A high school student male or female who didnt make their school teams in softball or baseball, and still want to play something related. They should be able to play on a slow pitch Co-Op club softball team just for fun. It just not promotes Team work, it also helps with health and recreation. Hey.. and maybe teachers would join too?

I've seen plenty of times women playing on Baseball Teams at the little league and high school level. I wonder if there is any state rules about this? And why cant young men play on the softball team..hmmm? Maybe they should make two teams for each gender?? I have no problem with this issue, I say if she can play ball...SHE CAN PLAY BALL!! But Remember....THERE'S NO CRYING IN BASEBALL!http://community.active.com/images/emoticons/cry.gif! ....Tell me what ya think??

Why is it that there is only a handful of states that have passed a Bill from the state senate for High School Students to undergo random drug tests in any sport. This is a major health and awarness issue, that needs to be a mandatory high school steroid program in all states for all High Schools!

No.....I believe its solely on the League or Batter. I've played baseball for over 10yrs at all different levels, and I have found out that the younger you are the more likely you would wear a face mask. But once you get older the mask gets to be uncomfortable and a distraction.

Metal Cleats Finally Approved.....Good...Bad..or..Ugly?

I don't understand why now in the year 2008, the NFHS(National Federation of State High Schools Association) has passed the rule to allow high school softball teams to wear metal spikes. I Believe Metal cleats provide better traction on nearly all surfaces, especially on frozen, wet, extremely hard or under-maintained fields. But many players will be uncomfortable wearing metal spikes for the first time. Will this bring on more injuries, or will it improve the skills in the High School Softball Game?
