so track started this week, and even though i've been running all winter this crazy new stretching routine along with some hardcore conditioning/strengthening workouts has left me so sore i cry when i go down the stairs.
and prom is saturday.
i can barely walk...so, my question is does anyone have a miracle solution to soreness, even if it just makes it a little better? i would, after all, like to be able to dance on my prom night, if at all possible...
if you would let me know it would be greatly appreciated.
thanks!
Janna

so i had my first day of track today. i've been looking forward to it for months. and then about 10 minutes into practice i remembered why it is that i dislike track so much. and i think this year it may be even worse.
so my xc coach is also our distance coach for track and he's totally awesome, however the rest of the coaches basically give me the impression that they have no idea what they're doing. we did our warmup for two minutes...yeah, hows that? and then they put us through this new stretching routine because they dont want us to get hurt, after two minutes of jogging...i dont understand. and then this stupid stretching took like 30 minutes and then the form run took another 30...it was absolutely ridiculous.
so by the time we finally got to get out and RUN (the distance runners were the only ones to do anything by the way) practice should have been over.
oh well, atleast we got to run some...but im really not looking forward to going back and spending half an hour stretching again tomorrow
gah, anyone else have ridiculous coaches?
