Slightly more than 100 people are members, but only a handful of those are active. Club events are usually small affairs and nobody has been turned away from an event regardless of membership. </p><p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;">&#160;</p><p>The new $50 fee for 2012 is an increase from $42 in recent years, but this increase is unwarranted as Rincon (1) has over $6,000 in cash, (2) charges additional fees for any large club events, (3) has had no major expenditures, and (4) reduced expenses by dropping its USA Triathlon membership and its liability coverage.</p><p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;">&#160;</p><p>The only benefit from membership is through race discounts, which are extended to all triathlon clubs.
