My wife and daughter have been "paddling" along on their own and are starting to get better at swimming everyday. I just didn't see the need to invest in "swimming classes" since they were making good progress.

Seriously though, I may be selfish but I like the gym to myself. Having so many people in the gym really distracts me. I llike working out when it is not peak hour (8:00-9:30 PM). This way I get everything I need to do done without having to wait around or feel choked to death by all the people in the vicinity.

I always thought that doing sit ups/crunches would fix the problem but I have been doing them for so long now and not seeing any results. Can you recommend any resources for "Do at Home Pilates" or do you need to take a class to have access to the Pilates equipment?

Re: When did Soda Become Our Water?

It can also de-hydrate you (that is what I have heard). If your any kind of athlete you should stay away from Soda. I used to drink alot of Soda (may 4-5 cans of Coke) a day and since I have stopped (I've been diluting my Gatorade with water) I've been losing more weight and actually feel better throughout the day. Every once in a while I will like to have some Soda but cutting down on it significantly really helped me to feel more athletic. I also agree that I only used to drink soda. I very rarely drank water at all. This went on for about 1 1/2 years.
