She put me in a 10W and a 10 1/2 Regular. I felt that the 10W fit better. I'm going to take them for a short run today and will keep my fingers crossed I do not get any blisters!

Hi guys. Newbie here. Have never run before this program.

I am in Week 4. Earlier in the week, my left calf cramped up 20 minutes in. I stopped, stretched, took a couple days off. I then tried to repeat Week 4 yesterday. Same thing, 19 minutes in my left calf cramps up again. It's been sore most of the day yesterday. I put a Ben Gay pad on it last night and it's still sore this morning when I walk on it.

What is going on? What am I doing wrong?

I had been doing some strength exercises on my days off, but I decided to stop and just focus on C25K. I was worried I was overdoing it because I was feeling worn out. I have been drinking enough water. I had bloodwork done recently, everything was ok, except for me being Vitamin D deficient. Doctor has me taking supplements. I eat a banana every morning. Someone told me I could be deficient in Magnesium, so I read about mag-rich foods and picked some up at the store. I also take a multivitamin daily.

Could the calf cramp be a result of not stretching properly? I usually do the 5 minute walk warm up in the beginning, but admit, I don't always do such a great job stretching after.

I also run on a treadmill with a 1% incline. Someone told me the 1% incline mimics outdoor running. About 15 minutes into my run yesterday, I could feel the calf getting sore, and lowered it to zero.

Any advice would be appreciated. I am a little frustrated. I really want to finish Week 4 and I feel like I have been enjoying this program and don't like having this sidetrack me.

Also when should I attempt to run again?
