Juice Power Softball has a well rounded philosophy and mixture of mental and physical skills and attributes we feel necessary to achieve the ability of playing and competing at the highest levels this game has to offer. It is our goal to make dreams a reality - to ultimately earn an education through perseverance and dedication. We teach the new game of softball that will and is prevalent at the elite level university programs through the next decade. Our coaching staff is not only nationally acclaimed and has decades of experience and contacts from which to teach and draw from, they have all ACTUALLY played the game! . Our pitching coach has numerous D-1 athletes both current and alum. Hitting instruction is a part of our regimen and included with dues. That being said, we are looking for strong,fast,quick thinking athletes who understand and live the philosophy of "Get Better Every Day." We chase the competition - not run from it. On the younger levels - great foundations and mechanics are stressed - without the accomplishment and mastery of the basic skills - the building blocks to move up competitively are compromised. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization which has active and comprehensive fund raising programs. We offer a 12U - 18 age group program. Private tryouts for any potential team member can be arranged. We are looking forward to a successful, busy summer! All of our teams and planning to compete and attend a National/ World Series. Practices are held in regional proximity utilizing multiple locations.

Juice Power Softball 12U is adding two roster spots. We have placed in the last 5 tournaments we played in. We had an 8th place finish in the RM. Our plans are to compete is every quality elite tournament in the Texas area we can,(HOF qualifier, ASA spring series, bomber shootout, etc.) leading us not only to a world series but also other regional and national events. We have an immediate need for an additional bracket catcher. We will consider all elite athletes with all position experience to add to our talented 2000 roster. 12U team - we are searching for one special athlete with middle infield experience to add to a highly talented and motivated team. 16U - Have a couple of position spots and we are in need of a bracket pitcher. Our 14U team is full.

The Juice Power Softball Organization will be conducting tryouts for Fall/Spring 2012-2013. Our teams will be regionally structured across Texas. Our commitments include Longview -September 2012, (16U) Grand Prairie- October 2012 (16U), RM Tournament – October 2012, (12U, 14U, and 16U), Sparkler Jr. / Sparkler – Colorado 2013(12U, 14U, 16U) to name some of our major events. We will be fielding 3 teams in the following age divisions:

12U – This is a second year team will consider all 2000 birth years and above average 2001's. This team has a strong returning nucleus and we are looking to fill an open spot. Every player on the team plays and becomes proficient in two positions. This team WILL travel in the spring and summer of 2013. Please do not tryout unless you are prepared to travel next spring and summer.

14U – This is also a second year team. We will consider all 1998 birth years and strong 1999’s. This team also has a excellent returning nucleus of veteran ball players. Every player on the team plays and becomes proficient in at least two positions. This team also WILL travel in the spring and summer of 2013 including outside the state of Texas. Please do not tryout unless you are prepared to travel next summer. These players also receive website/video recruiting tools and sites as a part of our organization.

16U Exposure team – This will be a first year team. Looking for leadership from 1996’ers as well as seasoned select 1997’s. This team will play in as many exposure events as our budget will allow. These players also receive website/video recruiting tools and sites as part of our organization.

Our teams are coached by Ray and Cindy Cowart - Ray – 7 time National Champion, 2001 TPS National Batting Champion, 20 year factory player, 3 year Long-Haul Bomber. Cindy –2 time National Champion, 7 year factory player, former D-2 player, John Grissom - 5 time National Champion, 20 year factory player including team membership with the original Smythe Sox as well as the Steele’sSilver Bullet Men’s Major Softball Team, and Scott Kinsey- successful select coach in the Austin area. Our kids also receive special instruction and training from such professionals as Randy Brown (shortstop Red Sox and Marlins organizations) and Kirk Hall – our current pitching coach retired 3A head softball coach and 18U gold head coach. We also have an extremely successful strength and conditioning program.

We believe the only way to success is through hard work and perseverance. We believe in strong fundamentals with meticulous execution. We teach powerhitting and walking techniques as well as innovative proven defensive strategies. Our goal is to further the careers of our players by providing them with as many accomplished skills as possible thus promoting and facilitating their player paths to play not only through high school but ultimately to collegiate level athletics. We also believe in strong partnerships between school and summer coaches with the ultimate single goal of moving our players to the next competitive level. From our athletes we not only expect discipline, courage, and a burning desire to better their last performance, but to also to exhibit personal and player behavior above reproach, as not only are they representing themselves and their families, but also their team, our organization, and ultimately educational institutions.

We are a proud member of the Louisville Slugger team. We also are a certified 501(c) 3 organization. We have corporate sponsorship as well as actively fund raise to forward our goals. Our monthly fees are reasonable and all-inclusive. We are a three year old organization with 30 years of contacts inside this game.

Both age groups are welcome at the tryout session. If you would like to pre-register - or let us know you are coming - please e-mail Ray or Cindy at the e-mail address below. We have separate workout/tryout routines and coaches for each. Bring all your equipment including turf shoes. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to tryout session to fill out paperwork and release forms. We have our own self-contained facilities in northwest Houston.
