Nice touch with the National Anthem prior to the start.

Others complained of not hearing key announcements. My guess is that the PA system was set up to cover the immediate area only, not surrounding parking lot and bathroom area.

Course was flat and fairly accurate but my Garmin measured the 10K as 6.25 miles.

There was people at key points (water and turn around points) who were encouraging the runners.

This is not a big production with lots of music and bands along the course.

I love being able to just go run and see how far I am going without mapping it out ahead of time.

I have ran in thick trees with no GPS signal loss that I have noticed

It links up with the satellites within one minute when turning it on.

I say go for it but consider the 305 for heartrate as it can help you see how u r training. Yes you can use the "how I feel" method but if you have the heartrate it is another thing you can track and analyze over the long term.
