I have been stopped overhand swimmming for 4 months, had 2 cortisol injections and PT. My MRI shows fluid in my bursa. I'd like to talk to someone over 50 who has had surgery for this and what that was like. drfish

Advice for Open Water Swim using a swimmers snorkel

I have just signed up for the alcatraz swim. I usually use a swimmers snorkel due to cervical disc disease when I am in the pool. How is swimming in open water with a swimmers snorkel? If you have used a snorkel and it worked well, what kind did you use? I am worried about getting water in the snorkel and also having to lift my head to follow the line of sight.

thanks for your input, betty
