This was my second year running in this event, and while the course is great this year the race was very poorly organized. Pre-registrants had to wait on a huge line and the only way registrations were organized was by gender and age...nothing was alphabetized and it took a while for people to find my name on the disorganized list. There was also no water station along the course.

This event definitely needs help.

I enjoy listening to anything with a fast beat, which is usually rock...and if I'm runing out some rage, Godsmack's first album is what I'll be listening to. Otherwise, it's the new My Chemical Romance or Neon Trees at the moment. Though when I'm on a treadmill listening to animal, it's hard to resist the urge to dance and thus go flying off the back of the machine.

It was a fun run, nice flat course. Beautiful day. The main issue was the lack of water. I heard that, because the race was changed from a 5 miler to a 5k, double the people showed up for the run. Sounds like poor planning.

This is a great run, especially for people who are new to the running scene. The cause is always great, the people are great, the course is a nice mix of easy and challenging, and it's not so big an event that you get overwhelmed. I look forward to running this again next year!
