DO NOT SIGN UP!!!!!!! THIS COMPANY-IO EVENTS CANCELLED MULTIPLE EVENTS IN CALIFORNIA and ARIZONA. THEY ANNOUNCED THEY HAVE CLOSED DOWN THEIR COMPANY!!!! Taking registration for this event is VERY SHADY. They will probably cancel two weeks before like they did in California and then you will be stuck!!! DO NOT REGISTER!!!! Check out io events on FB. Check the bottom of this event's page. It is run by out of business IO Events.

Signed up for the "sleep in" option, billed as "great for out of town friends who want to support the run without attending". Figured that the shirt (during registration it said I got a shirt and asked my size) and medal would be mailed since the registration cost was EXACTLY the same as the regular 5K cost. Day before race and two e-mails have gone unanswered and no packages with shirt and medal have arrived in the mail. There is NOTHING indicating that signing up for the "sleep in" option is a straight donation with no return for the money. EVERY virtual race that has required payment has mailed the race packet to me WELL BEFORE the date of the event so that I could run at home and still enjoy the "race experience". At the VERY LEAST I expect my e-mails requesting clarification to be answered promptly. If that had been done and I had found out that they had no intention of sending the packet to my house I might have been able to arrange to change the registration to regular and plan to attend in person (adding an additional car with just one person in it to the race congestion and parking). No response to e-mails is not a good sign.

This race belongs on a list for best "secret" races. This is a local gem that really deserves to be "discovered" by a wider audience. This is a small-town, yet well-produce yearly event. In the mountains between Hemet and Palm Springs this is a perfect destination race. The course is challenging due to the altitude and some prominent hills, but SO fun!! Don't let the travel time or altitude scare you off from joining this WONDERFUL event. See you there next year :).

Really enjoyed this event. Small, personal and fun! Particularly enjoyed running through the fields of wildflowers. Thanks for a great run :).

"Ran" this race in 2010 and LOVED it!! Well organized and fun race through beautiful mountain scenery. Ran is in quotes because I was sooooo slow I actually finished last. But, was greeted with cheers, a victory tunnel and ice cold water. Going back this year with a goal to not be last-lol!! But even if I am, I'm sure it will still be a great experience !

Had a great time at the race. It was a beautiful day and many excellent causes benefited from the race. I will definately be back next year. My one complaint is that there was not any water at the water stops. Apparently the water was used up during the 10K and not replenished for the 5K. The first two tables were out of water and the last one had water, but no cups. This was the ONLY part of the race not well planned out!! I would encourage anyone interested to participate next year!!
