My previous longest run was for 8 minutes with a rest, and 8 more minutes (W5D2).&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]" style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]"&gt;I cannot believe I did it.&amp;#160; I cannot believe it.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]" style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]"&gt;Maybe it is all mind games.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]" style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]"&gt;I tell you, right now I am just as pleased as can be.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]" style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]"&gt;History:&amp;#160; Never been a runner, have never done sports.&amp;#160; Found this program and thought it might work.&amp;#160; I thought I was going to die of the effort of running one minute at first, and also die of the frustration and embarassment that a one minute run could almost best me.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]" style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]"&gt;And now I ran for 20 minutes.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]" style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]"&gt;I am so proud of you SeattleGirl for starting on this program.&amp;#160; I think it rocks.&amp;#160; It certainly has rocked my world.&amp;#160; Congratulations to you.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]" style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]"&gt;Wow, this is great.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]" style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]"&gt;GoodOldGirl&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyEnd:58618c74-0149-44c6-9c0e-f986faa422ef] --&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyStart:900d799f-4cce-45a3-8322-31eb728ecbce] --&gt;&lt;div class="jive-rendered-content"&gt;&lt;p&gt;Just a comment on your problem with the banana.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]" style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]"&gt;My dad used to say that bananas must have a enzyme in them that some people don't use very well.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]" style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]"&gt;When I used to eat a banana, I would get a raging stomach ache.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]" style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]"&gt;Then I learned (from my dad) to nuke the banana for 10 seconds in the microwave.&amp;#160; In the peel.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]"&gt;It doesn't "do" anything to the banana.&amp;#160; Doesn't even make it warm.&amp;#160; It toasts the ends of the peel very so slightly.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]"&gt;It must neutralize that enzyme, if that is what it is, that makes the banana BAD for me.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]" style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]"&gt;So THEN eat the banana.&amp;#160; I can eat a nuked banana and have NO stomach ache whatsoever.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]" style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]"&gt;Maybe I'll get some bananas and have them as a pre-run treat.&amp;#160; Nuked of course.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]" style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]"&gt;Try it -- it may fix your banana problem.&amp;#160; I have no idea why this works, but it works for me.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]" style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]"&gt;Good Old Gal&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyEnd:900d799f-4cce-45a3-8322-31eb728ecbce] --&gt;</description>

But I am progressing, and that is probably the most important thing.&amp;#160; I like it, too, which is also very important.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]" style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]"&gt;I like it because I was encouraged by your story and similar.&amp;#160; I felt like I could do it and I no longer felt that there "runners" and "non-runners" but rather, just people like me who had not run before, and then had wanted to become runners and had tried too much too soon, and gotten injured or frustrated, and gave up.&amp;#160; I LOVE the proper mentoring on this site. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]" style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]"&gt;I'll be running again tomorrow.&amp;#160; Today is my day off, I ran yesterday and did 3 minutes at a time.&amp;#160; I suppose it will sound silly to some, but it was big news to me to run for 3 minutes, and I was very proud of myself, and I look forward to longer runs.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]" style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]"&gt;Again, congrats, and keep at it. Something like that.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]" style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]"&gt;Today, I decided to just RUN until I could not, and then see how long it had taken.&amp;#160; I lasted for THREE MINUTES on the first burst!&amp;#160; So I did 3 sets of 3 minutes, with 90 second rests in between each.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]" style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]"&gt;I RAN FOR 9 MINUTES TODAY (in the 3 minute bursts). &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]" style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]"&gt;Also, on the run a few days ago, I noticed that I "felt" like I was running nicely, instead of lumbering along.&amp;#160; That was NEW and it was kind of cool and fun, frankly!&amp;#160; Then today, I was back to lumbering along, with no rhythm at all to it.&amp;#160; Odd.&amp;#160; I kept going though.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]" style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]"&gt;Ah well.&amp;#160; I just love the smug feeling, and a third thing for this post, I think I am "missing out" when I don't run, I really WANT to do it!&amp;#160; This is truly strange and very unlike me.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]" style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]"&gt;I hope everyone else is enjoying their running as much as I am.&amp;#160; Well except for the parts I hate.&amp;#160; This is very cool.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]" style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id="[object]"&gt;GoodOldGirl&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyEnd:673b2c51-4622-45ea-a9f0-f728c78de93c] --&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyStart:b6bee1da-bb1b-4017-afaf-81fbc7dab4a5] --&gt;&lt;div class="jive-rendered-content"&gt;&lt;p&gt;Hi there, FELLOW RUNNERS:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I had some problems getting my run in today.&amp;#160; I wonder if it was just a whole lot of excuses.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;So while I was dithering and NOT running, it started to rain.&amp;#160; It then commenced to POUR.&amp;#160; I did NOT want to run in the pouring rain, and it looked like it would just keep pouring for hours and hours.&amp;#160; We get that here.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;And then about 3 hours into it, the rain lifted!&amp;#160; I threw on my special shoes and my big sweatshirt and even my gloves, and off I went.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;This was the RE-DO of W2D2. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I knew I would feel better, emotionally at least, if I had "done my run" today, than if I didn't.&amp;#160; I did great!&amp;#160; I was still very whupped at the end.&amp;#160; And then I had to spend several minutes in, yes, pouring rain, but the rain DID hold off for most of my 20 minutes.&amp;#160; I laugh at the rain.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I have decided to change what I had stated:&amp;#160; No more will I state "I am going to be a runner."&amp;#160; TODAY, I AM A RUNNER.&amp;#160; I did great.&amp;#160; I will do even better next time and the time(s) after that.&amp;#160; And after all, there are 48 hours of smug until I have to run again.&amp;#160; Yeah.&amp;#160; I am a runner.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Thank you all for all the help.&amp;#160; I didn't have a stopwatch yet, but I was pretty accurate because at 90 seconds, I was ready to fall over, and then my recovery time for one minute I could keep an eye on my kitchen timer.&amp;#160; I did FIVE sets of 90 second runs.&amp;#160; Well, the 4th one was 60 seconds but the last one was a full 90+ and you know why, because I AM A RUNNER.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;This is pretty cool.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Good Old Gal&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyEnd:b6bee1da-bb1b-4017-afaf-81fbc7dab4a5] --&gt;</description>
