A couple of my close friends and I ran the team relay last year which was pretty cool. I got my coworkers to do it with me this year. Figured it was a good way to bond with them! Last year we actually won a restaurant package from the raffle they have there.

and the final turned out to be kind of dissapointing...3rd place game was more exciting even though it was far too open. Soccer isn't meant to be a back and forth offensive match its more of control game. But the 3-2 score did make for some extra excitement

Final-Sunday 2:30pmET...Spain Vs. Netherlands. I beleive Spains gonna take it, but Nethlands is also looking great.

I live in the San Diego Area. Does anyone know of any good running events coming up? Willing to drive to OC/LA Area too. Really looking to get back into running shape, and I'd love a great event to help motivate me.

I definately think that most giveaways at races go to waste, and it would be a lot better if the organizers could give out water bottles/armbands etc. Also, there is another race called the Coastwise Mile coming up in October and I do enjoy their giveaways as well. Runners With Dogs

After reading that post about vicious dogs chasing after runners, it reminded me of a race that is coming up this october, The Coastwise Mile. I ran in this race last year and the great thing about it is that it is both competitive and fun. They have races for serious and experienced runners and events such as the mutt mile, where you can run with your dog, or the Baby Jogger event where parents bring out their kids in strollers for a run. Im running in the One Mile Elite Wave ($1000 prize money) and the mutt mile this year. Hope to see everyone there.
