It is the kids first day of school so I wanted to up and out early so that I have time to get showered and dressed before the morning excitement. If your legs were burning, it means you were going too fast or you weren't warmed up. It never hurts to slow down or to walk....just make sure you are moving forward. That might be a nice introduction to barefoot running, even if it only .25 of a mile at a time. Your post made me look up my totals, 50.7 miles in 2011, 72.4 so far this year. Yuo are kickin some butt this year.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Ran at 8:30am this morning, about 80 degrees and humid. Kept active by playing various sports and running on occassion. Lost weight a bit slower than I wanted but still losing which is all that cuonts. Now I am back to running to finish my first short term goal, running 5 miles non-stop at the boardwalk during sunrise next month.
