I forgot to mention:

CG:
While not as bad as you, I'm so not a morning person either. Having DS has cured me of some of it, but 5am is still absolutely painful to me. The hardest was when i was at the bank I got to open the branch. I had to be at the bank at 6:30am (to open at 7am) Even though I was only going 20 miles and I was staying away from major highways it still took me 45 minutes to an hour to get there. Getting off work at 3pm didn't really make up for the miserably early morning.

proto:
Ugh. The bears lost again! The only two teams I've ever cheered for are the Bears and the Chiefs (only when the Bears weren't playing) and both are totally sucking this year. It's not making football season much fun for me! DH was hoping we got the game last night, but they didn't show it here in Milwaukee.

christmas parties:
I miss these. Most of the places DH and I have worked don't have any sort of holiday parties anymore. I miss them. It was kind of fun to dress up a bit and hang out with work friends outside of work. DH's old company had gotten way too huge for them and my old company didn't do them either. The last one I went to was probably in 2001, a couple years before the company went bankrupt.

----

Jen[/URL" target="_blank">

[http://This message has been edited by jrpol (edited Dec-07-2007).|http://This message has been edited by jrpol (edited Dec-07-2007).]

Maybe having the dough wrapped around the filling is a Chicago-area thing? I've seen them sold that way at Jewel before. They were in the bakery section, but they weren't very good. The dough was way too thick. I guess I'm just too used to homemade ones.

[http://This message has been edited by jrpol (edited Nov-29-2007).|http://This message has been edited by jrpol (edited Nov-29-2007).]

I'm glad eveyone is OK. Also the visual of a bunch of french people crammed into a living room keeps making me laugh.

Your friend getting felt up by the 5 year old is hilarious. Believe me, it probably won't be her last weird experience. It seems to me that people see the belly and think that it's OK to say all sorts of things they wouldn't normally. I still remember the guy at work (I didn't even know him) who saw me and practically yelled "whoa! you're HUGE!". You know a guy would never say that under normal circumstances (not without getting beat up) but apparently he thought it was OK because I was pregnant. !http://www.coolrunning.com/forums/rolleyes.gif|src=http://www.coolrunning.com/forums/rolleyes.gif|border=0!

julie:
that sounds like a crazy schedule (at least for me, I've never run that much in 3 weeks, let alone 1). I bet you'll do great in Phoenix!

Oh, and the thing about the little boy is adorable. At my SIL's wedding one of the flower girls had a huge crush on the groom. She was mad at my SIL for marrying "her Bill". It was pretty cute. She pouted all the way down the aisle.

Halloween:
I'm not really scared of it, but I never get as excited about it a lot of people I know. Plus we live in a nice well, lit neighborhood so I'll know the kids or at least recognize which house they belong to. I'm just hoping to get a couple good pictures of DS before he gets mad and takes off the hood.

elfitzpa:
I know nothing of MAT. It sounds like this PT is giving you some good stuff to work on. It sucks about the shoes. I dont' get to wear them as much as I'd like, but I love my heels too. There's nothing like a sexy pair of shoes to make you feel better.

----

Jen[/URL" target="_blank">

[http://This message has been edited by jrpol (edited Oct-31-2007).|http://This message has been edited by jrpol (edited Oct-31-2007).]

I've got all the service on our house scheduled and I've done a bit of packing. This weekend DH will be taking the things we don't want to send with the movers (photos, sentimental stuff, important files, etc.) so I've been gathering and boxing that up. We won't have a lot of extra room in our car on moving day since we'll be hauling our two cats as well our luggage. DH has put the deposit down on our new place so that is officially waiting for us.

This afternoon is some grocery shopping and a trip to the bank. Not very exciting but necessary. I'm really excited because DH will be here tomorrow night.

julieruns:
Things sound crazy. I just figured that I wasn't athletic and never would be. I had a desire to change that and I've found out that it is something I can work at and achieve. That confidence has built up and spilled over into every other area of my life. Everytime I go out and run I feel better about myself and a little stonger. I believe it's a gift from God.

I believe that God is in Southeast Asia working in ways we probably can't imagine. I also believe that God is right here with me, whenever I need him.

[http://This message has been edited by jrpol (edited Jan-19-2005).|http://This message has been edited by jrpol (edited Jan-19-2005).]

I haven't done any strength training in a while so I think I might do a bit of that while DS naps today. Otherwise it's housework and grocery shopping for me today.

mh:
I think it was you yesterday who had some advice for me. Thanks. The fleas are a major pain in my a$$. I think we're getting it just about taken care of. We're at the preventative maintenance stage now.

As for DH being gone...I did what you suggested the first couple days and it works sometimes, but in the evenings when it's not quite bedtime and DS is cranky it would still be nice to have someone to share cranky kid duty with. I know it won't last forever, but I still don't like it much.

tx:
congrats on your resignation! Isn't that a great feeling? Congrats on the closing too. It sounds like it's all coming together for you.

QOD: I have two large cats. The small one, Finn, is about 14lbs and the big one, Sully, weighs about 21lbs. We're pretty sure they're part siamese and part mancoon. They've both got long fluffy hair. Outside of the latest flea ordeal, they're the best cats ever. The big one especially. Sully is so sweet and gentle. They have all thier claws but never use them, even when DS tackles them and lays on them like a pillow. Since DH has been gone Sully curls up next to me in bed and purrs when I'm trying to fall asleep at night.

----

Jen[/URL" target="_blank">

[http://This message has been edited by jrpol (edited Aug-21-2007).|http://This message has been edited by jrpol (edited Aug-21-2007).]

I still haven't made it to the Y, but I have been productive. Both our cars now have Wisconsin plates and I got my drivers license taken care of. Overall, it only took about 45 min. at the DMV, so it could have been much worse. I had yet another ultrasound and (as I expected) the newest due date is March 21st. I now have 5 of them. I'm still telling people the baby is due "march-ish"

I'm ticked at my brother now because he flaked on me. He was supposed to come to the doctor with me today. The plan was to have him hang out with DS in the waiting room while i took care of my appointment and the glucose test. He overslept and called to tell me he just woke up as I was supposed to be leaving for my appiontment. Ugh. I'll have to bug him about that later. So I had to drag DS with me to both the appointmenta nd the blood test. The stuff they make you drink gave me quite the sugar high, and I'm crashing now so I feel like I could sleep.

otherwise I need to take a quick trip to the store to grab a few things I'll need for Christmas dinner and I'll be all set for this weekend. Tomorrow we'll probably hang out with one of DH's friends who is in town for the holiday. Christmas eve we're hanging with my in laws and probably going to mass with my FIL. Christmas day I'm cooking the big dinner and my folks and little brother are coming over.

soldevi: Sounds like the "alpine therapy" was needed. Enjoy your long weekend!

proto: I hope things melt on the trails! i wouldn't want to do loops on a street for 23 miles!

Well, I better go and grab some lunch. I hope everyone has Happy Holidays!
