DeadOcMike - Your perfect description of NoHeartSenior inspired me to jump back in the game....especially since our fearless (yes, but odd) leader - Bat Dude Parker - has returned!

I stopped engaging with the ol' crab apple pages ago, but will support others that go up against his inane, tyrannical ramblings. (Oh no! His hateful regurgitations will now be directed at me! Help, Batman!) As you can see, Dead, NotHuman doesn't play fair and is severly challenged in the social skills department.

Now where is the Prof. and Runner Chick'en........

Hey Runner Chick'en!! Nice to see a familiar name here. I see the Prof. has visited, too. I miss the ol' Team EyePod gang. If any of you are looking to run the VA Bch Rock 'n Roll Half or the Marine Corps this year, consider running for a charity that I'm involved with that provides after school programs for elementary and middle school students. I see you, the Prof. and Miz Chick'en Thang are still going to battle with that pathetic, nasty old man. You know, I've come across some pretty unpleasant people in my life.....spent time working in the movie biz where there are some real doozies when it comes to ill manners, but NH takes the cake in maliciousness. He's an insult and embarrassment to all runners. He is the poster ogre for an Emily Post flunkie and he makes Simon Cowell look like Prince Charming. I tell my 12 year old daughter to stay away from people like NH, so I'm taking my own advice. This thread was my first experience being part of an online discussion. It's been fun and great to meet interesting, bright people like you, Prof. RK, sgray, WayneD, Jay and Runner Chick'en. Unfortunately, Nasty Hemorrhoid, has been.....well...just that....an annoying nasty hemorrhoid on this thread.

The L.A. Marathon reminded me that the majority of runners, volunteers and race organizers are not like NH. And considering the number of marathons that attract 20,000+ runners, his sick, misanthropic attitude has no chance in h*ll of impacting my life as an iPod wearing runner.

Yoo Hoo!! Parker, Prof. RK, Runner Chick'en, WayneD......Princess Lah Lah is baaaacccckkkkkk!!!! Actually got back late Wed. night and have been recovering and reacclimating. The L.A. Marathon was great....mostly! Weather was a bit too warm - sunny....very sunny...and 70+ degrees. I have a very nice tan. Fortunately, there was plenty of water and Gatorade and the fabulous L.A.F.D. had opened up quite a few fire hydrants along the course....which I took advantage of as often as possible! Volunteer support and spectators were awesome! I hit the wall BIG TIME at mile 18 and runner's induced tourettes set in! I was hoping to beat my MCM time of 5:28:32 and at the half-way mark my predicted time was 5:19, but ended up finishing at 5:42:39. The beautiful, warm, sunny SoCal weather just beat the crp out of my 51 year old body....plus I had some toe issues! Yes, parker! I'm still whining about my toes. You should see how lovely they are....have lost one toe nail and looks like another one is about to say buh-bye! All 'n all, it was a great experience. The first two miles had me all verklempt as I was running near my old 'hood. As we were passing the Hollywood Bowl in those first two miles, some non-iPod wearing ahole decided to stop dead in his fat a* tracks, bend over and mess with his shoe! I nearly fell over him! The walkers were the only other course hazard. What is it with those walkers thinking it's some type of 26.2 mile coffee klatch!?!? Even the guy pushing his kid in a jogging stroller and the two goofballs dressed like Elvis pushing something resembling an ice cream cart were more courtesy than the non-iPod wearing walkers! At mile 20 I swore I was never going to run another marathon! At mile 25 as I was hobbling past all the fabulous specators, I started to reconsider and as I approached the finish and heard my name announced, then heard my friends cheering me on, I decided I'd try getting into NY again! The marathon reflected the spirit of L.A. - everyone's welcome, come out and have fun! As for that bonus for the woman who won, whatevah....that was a different race than the one I was in!

I see Team EyePod has overcome the Dark RD Lord....his power is weakening.....and based on his writing, his mental facilities are diminishing as well!

parkerbatdude, I always find your prolific musings to be witty, intelligent and very entertaining....unlike a certain unmentionable. But ya gotta stop messin' with my Professor! Love, though, that RunnerChick has adopted your new moniker for her - RunnerChick'en!

This princess is off to L.A. on Wed. Got some tips on reflexology points on my hand to help with energy, but don't tell The Crabby One, because he may try to ban hands from races! Rumor has it the L.A. Marathon has banned all crabby people with poor writing skills and the initials NH! Hooray!!

L.A. is a pod friendly race, so I'll be rockin' and runnin' come Sunday. I'll try to check in again before I leave!!

Hey Team EyePod, got this very brief response from Running USA about Phat's alleged info regarding the USATF not enforcing the iPod ban:

The below is a USATF matter/rule and USATF needs to confirm or deny the below. Wish their response had been more specific....wish they had actually answered my question about if the iPod ban had been discussed at their conference, but they didn't. Why am I surprised since our own bureaucratic blow hards don't answer questions? A bit under the weather today so I'm off for the night....but before I go, can I just say to parker, YIKES - "We've Only Just Begun" by The Carpenters?!?!?!? Do you have The Osmond Brothers and The Partridge Family on your Pod, too?!?!
