I would love to do that!! But maybe one day I will be able to run a full marathon.. Kinda scared about even running a 8 or 10k!! Then again I do need to work at it! lol.. I must say I have never heard of a pair of racing flats! I must find out what these are and check out these options to minimalist running.. Never knew there were so many diffrent options!! Thanks!!

I guess your right though.. Nothing to it but to do it and listen to my feet.. lol.. Im just so curious about the whole thing! It just kinda boggles my mind how someone can REALLY, REALLY just run barefoot??!! I guess Im gonna have to keep doing my research and find out about this guy Christopher Mcdougal.. Maybe his book will have more answers for me.. You have been really helpful to a novice such as myself!! Thank you soooooooo much!! Anymore info that you have would be greatly appreciated!!

Its only on the Right leg.. I do all types of workouts to keep it from happening but it still does..

It really happends when I really over do it.. It just starts burring right below my knee cap all the way down to my ankle... So I usually stop and walk it off.. I dont remember if i got shin splints when I ran BF either... Come to think of it... No!! WOW!! just made a serious observation there!! lol.. Guess I just need to get down to it and do it!! lol

My husband has to talk me into things before i finally make my decision on things such as shoes... lol.. He seems to now me better than myself!! lol.. guess thats what a husband is supposed to do.. lol

Counterfit shoes!! seriously!! When are these ppl gonna give up and stop trying to sell the fake stuff!! I guess I will look out and make sure they are authorized dealers, that is if im buying on the internet.. Think I will just have to pay runfit a visit.. lol Nothing like shopping on a rainy day!!

Anyway, so no support, more stiffness.. hmmm... Im leaning toward likeing these shoes the more I learn about them... Im just so unsure of like you giving up my favorite pair of shoes!!! Mine used to be adidas, but now I love my shocks!! What about shin splints?? I hate to spend 100 bucks on a pair of shoes that make my shins hurt..

I must admit that I used to run barefoot in HS with the track team, at least on grass fields.. lol.. I seemed to run faster and grip the ground better... Cant wait to try out these shoes and see about going "whole hog" lol

I am however one of those crazy ppl who loves pink and shoes like that I must have in hot pink!!! lol.. I dont mind the attention while im running!! lol.. but I guess all I can do now is get a pair and try them out!! How and were would I find these?? Can I go to any shoe store or can I only get them online??? I love nothing more than to be barefoot, especially after running and thru most of the day!! what kind of support does these shoes provide??

@JosephTree, I am soo glad to hear from an actual BF runner, that Im excited!!! How did you get into BF running and can you tell any difference in your body and the way it reacts to the road?? I really think its awesome and exhilarating!! Im just worried about getting started!! But I guess if Bf doesnt work I can always try the 5 finger shoes!! Would you ever go back to running with regular shoes??

I appologize about all the questions... I just have never been in a community of ppl who are just as interested in running as i am!! kind of overwhelming.. Thanks for everything guys!!!

So I recently read an article talking about runners and the shoes that they wear.. It was saying that the shoes we are wearing are actually causing more injury than good.. Not only that but that it is better to run without shoes.. How is the possible?? I mean if you think about it, rocks, glass, gum and who knows what else is on the road.. Doesn't stuff like that pose a problem for running barefoot??? How about these five finger shoes... Has anyone purchased a pair, if so how well do they work and are they worth it.. Just wondering...

I found that the breathing techiques helped me with my running, and when running trails i found that the jump training really helped me to get through and over small ditches.. I did notice very big changes in my body and mind.. For some reason though I didnt see too much of a time diffrence in my 5ks.. May have just been me.. idk.. I did however love the high intensity!!
