I guess the Umpires have decided to put up the "Big Blue Line". Interesting? I would suggest you stick to umpiring and let the coaches give instructions to the ballplayers. Yer Out!

Daque, this is only one statement "If your son hit .725 for a season I'll guess you don't know what good pitching looks like. My son and many of his friends are now college prospects." Did you read all his posts? Im just saying dont put every kid in the same barrel. Each is an individual and should be treated with respect and understanding. Your dealing with someones' son? What if it was yours and somebody crushed him like you attempt to do? Give helpful advise not derrogatory remarks on his ability. Don

Fuzzy, firstly, please forgive some of the terse responses you received when all you are doing is looking for help. Again, without actually watching him hit it would be hard to determine flaws in his swing. As a rule, I would video him in the cage. First concentrate on his head and see if he is moving it as he starts to pull the trigger. Secondly video his hands and see if they are going either up or down prior to pulling the trigger and lastly I would have him try hitting everything to right field (assuming he is a righty) so you are sure he is letting the ball get deep and not bringing the bat head around the ball. Make sure he keeps the ball inside the bathead. After studying these videos with him maybe you can see some flaw that can be corrected without having pay a lot of money to a "Hitting Professional" who will probably change everything he does.
