My high school is the Wildcats. Not very original, but pretty tough.

You'd be surprised at some of the crazy wind-ups some girls have. Weird timing with the starting and stopping of the motion at different parts, unnecessary movements, etc. They can definitely get to be distracting at times.

I think the Finch windmill is one of the best strengthening machines out there for softball. Incredibly sport-specific and can help all players strengthen their arms by throwing under-hand--not just pitchers and the windmill motion. Would highly recommend.

Also, a mistake on a riseball can be one of the fattest pitches you'll ever see in the box. They don't always rise!

It depends on the pitcher as well. I know of one pitcher who gets everyone on her change up honestly every time. Her change up is one of the hardest pitches to hit that I've ever seen.

We play high school ball in the fall here in Nebraska.

I like it that way as the teams are just coming off summer ball, nationals etc. The one drawback about playing in the fall is that we are limited on the number of fall exposure tournaments we can attend.

I don't think so. She appears to drag her foot just enough. Even if she was hopping, it appears to be so slight that would rarely get called in a game.
