2010-2011 Flyers Skate Zone Tournaments at Atlantic City

The Flyers Skate Zone at Atlantic City, NJ would like to invite you to our 2010-2011 Tournaments. Below is a list of our tournaments along with our tournament rules. With the success of our 09-10 tournaments, we hope to add new teams this upcoming season. Thank you, and hope to see you in one of our tournaments.

Bantam Blitz
Dates- March 4-6, 2011
Ages- Bantam
Levels- A and B

Cost of our tournaments- $825

Tournament Rules and Regulations:

It is the intent of Flyers Skate Zone to provide a fun, competitive tournament for all participants and spectators. Good Sportsmanship is expected of all participants and spectators. Improper and abusive behavior will not be tolerated. It is the responsibility of each coach to control his team and exemplify good sportsmanship.

Game Times

Three game minimum
No ice resurfacing between periods
All games will be played to completion
Running time in the third period if the goal differential is seven goals or more
Three 12 minute periods for Mite and Squirt
All others will play two 12 minute periods and one 15 minute period.

Penalties

this is an USA Hockey sanctioned tournament. All USA Hockey rules for penalties shall apply.

Any player receiving four penalties in one game will be ejected from the game with no further suspension.

Fighting will not be tolerated, and will result in ejection from the tournament.

Rules

*USA Hockey rules will govern all tournament play.
*All participants must be USA Hockey registered.
*All teams must provide proof of USA Hockey registration. (Individual member cards and T-1 form)
*Any player receiving four penalties in one game will be ejected from that game with no further suspension.

*Fighting will not be tolerated and may result in ejection from the tournament.

*3 Game Minimum/ 5 Game Maximum.

*Peewee level and older will play two 12- Minute periods and one 15- Minute period; Mite and Squirt levels will play three 12- Minute periods.

Points and Tie
Breakers

Total points system: Three points for a win in regulation, two points for a win in overtime, one point for a loss in overtime.

Tie Breaker as follows:

1. Winner of head to head game played between the two tied teams. (**This tie breaker does not apply if three teams are tied.)

2. Most Wins
3. Best total goal differential quotient. Total goals scored divided by total goals against.
4. Least goals against.
5. Fewest penalty minutes.
