The Worcester Hawks announce tryouts for the upcoming 2011/2012 season:

Days: Saturday and Sunday

Date: August 13 & 14

Time: 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM each day

Place: College of the Holy Cross - Freshman softball field, Worcester MA

(Off McKeon Rd. on the Holy Cross Campus)

Please pre-register by sending an email to softballgold@comcast.net with the following information:

Player name, DOB, Address, telephone, email, position and experience (HS & travel)

Parent name, email and telephone

Please note: this is a tryout, not a clinic. You should be ready to accept a position with the team, if offered.

The Hawks are coming off a highly succesful first season under the leadership of Hall of Fame coach Ralph Raymond, the Head Coach of the 1996 & 2000 Gold Medal winning USA Olympic teams, and Manager for 27 years of the record setting Raybestos Brakettes (including leading them to 18 National championships & 9 runner-up finishes). The Hawks finished 33rd in the nation with 2 wins at the ASA Gold Nationals and plan to return again next season.

Coach is looking for talented players who are able to fully commit to the team, and who are also willing to work on their own between practices. Players between 14-18 years old will be considered.

Why play for this team?

We are not about the money. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and all members of the organization are unpaid and do not profit from their efforts. We do not charge nearly as much as comperable programs

Perks and connections. Do you want to play at the top level? How is this for an example:

All girls who play for this team receive an all expense paid trip to the 3rd Annual World Class Softball Clinic on Martha's Vineyard in August, 2012. Participants receive all transportation, meals, lodging and two full days of instruction by Coach Raymond, several major college coaches, and Coach Ken Eriksen, the head coach of 2011 & 2012 Team USA softball. This exclusive clinic is only open to members and invited guests of the Hawks.

College. A recommendation for Coach Raymond or his associates are gold.
