Sandlot Sox '99 12U Tryouts

Sandlot Sports is pleased to announce the establishments of our first girls fast pitch softball tournament team. The Sandlot Sox will be a 99 12U ASA select team and will play various tournaments this Fall in the Houston area. Most of the team’s practices will be held at Sandlot Sports on Mueschke Rd.

Open tryouts will be conducted August 11 from 6pm to 8:30pm. Please rsvp by sending an email to sox@sandlot-sports.com. Title the email "Sox Tryouts". Bring water and shoes for both indoor and outdoor practice. Questions? Contact coach Jessi Theede at sox@sandlot-sports.com.

The team will be coached by two of Sandlot Sports’ top softball trainers, Jamie Haas and Jessi Theede.

Coach Bio’s:

Jessi was an All-State and All-Conference softball player in her home state of Indiana and played at Indiana State University and the University of Indianapolis where she pitched and played first base. Jessi was team captain, team MVP, and named All-Conference. Upon graduation in 2002, she accepted the job of pitching coach at the University of Indianapolis. Jessi lives in Cypress and has been giving private and group softball lessons for the past few years.

Jamie Haas was a 4 year starting shortstop and leadoff hitter at Boston Univ. ('05) and played for the New England Riptide in a professional league in Mass. While at Boston University, Jamie was the America East Conference Player of the Year 3 times and team MVP 3 times! Jamie lives in Cypress and has been conducting private softball lessons for 5 years with girls aged 5 to 18.
