Not exactly chopped liver in Boston.

Deena Kastor will be running along with last year's winner , rising star Rita Jeptoo of Kenya, and Jelena Prokopcuka of Latvia who won the last two New York marathons.

Track & Field News ranked Kastor the #1 runner in the world last year and gave Prokopcuka the #2 rank and Jeptoo the #3 rank.

Radcliffe, Ndereba, and Kastor is a tough field to beat, but I would say this year's London women's field has a lot of depth and women with similar PRs, which could in fact make it a very competitive race. Not the field most likely to set a new world record, but it could be an exciting race. Adere, Noguchi, Wami, Kiplagat, Tomescu-Dita and many other good names should keep it interesting.

Sorry, David. I think the most competitive field you ever had was the year Paula, Deena, and Ndereba were duking it out.
