Where did you get that handle?

I used to post under "Helives" because I am a Christian of course. New handle came when I tried to log back in after years of inactivity.

Someone already had "Elaine" so...
Well my Marine Corps son is covered with tattoos and he kept trying to get his Dad, his brother and me to get one. He also picked up the nasty little habit of smoking - so I told him if he quit, I'd get one. Last year I got a butterfly (of my own design - it's body is their initials with bright blue, pink and red wings) about the size of a quarter in the center of my breastbone and it hurt like heck! I like the butterfly because I want to continue to grow and change (from a caterpillar to a butterfly) and their initials because they are the center of my world

I've found it very difficult to knit and run. A shame, really, although I make my share of boo-boos when I'm seated, so perhaps it's a good thing after all.

Here's a post in reverse - me figuring out someone else's handle who has **not realized the need** to 'splain it to us airheads. Now I know what dumb blondes feel like - or do they ever catch on??

I've been lurking for a week, then started contributing this week.
I see Ileneforward posting all over the place - quite the author, she. At least I think she's a she. I'll imagine another goddess, anyway. Post a pic, eh?

Where was I? Oh yeah, her handle. Always sounded a bit awkward to me. What was this "forward" part all about... a very assertive woman??? forwardIlene would have sounded better, then. Just seemed like a goofy non-sequitur. But considering some of the other handles, I figured you were just a bunch of oddballs.

finally at about 1am today it hit me. Why do my brain cells seem to work better when exhausted? I-lean-forward, her running style. Duh!!!!

I'm usually good at figuring stuff out, but this one had me stumped, and I did spend some minutes wrestling with it. One long continuous "booomer moment".
I-L-F, we're not as bright as you think. Gotta help us out here. The handle thread's been up a yr and a half. Didja think it was a no brainer? Didja think I'm the no-brainer? well.... maybe

So, all you EZ-handles out there, don't take the boomers for granted any more. Spill the beans. And a few more profiles and pics wouldn't go wasted either. If you don't know how, just ask. Help us newbies get to know ya better.

Maybe bix refers to the Bix 7[/URL" target="_blank">, a huge event in Davenport, Iowa, named for a deceased cornet player.

Ileneforward - Three part answer:

1) Yes, I did used to be Better than yesterday, but of late I felt that the name didn't fit anymore. "Almost, but not quite as good as yesterday" would have been too long, I think. Instead of BTY I would have been ABNQAGAY. Nah.

"Biscuit Ballista"

2) Biscuit: My two youngest children went to a track meet with me two years ago when they were 6 and 8. I told them I'd be "tossing the discus" for the first time in a long time. They watched, seemed a little bit interested, and started asking me questions the next day about biscuits. It took me a couple of days to figure out what they were talking about, but it turns out they thought the discus was a big biscuit of some sort. I must not have enunciated well.

3) Ballista (From Dictionary.com):

I am a fairly new runner. I am new to this forum and from the posts I read so far, I'll like it here...
My handle comes from my name, first two letters of each. Makes for a simple but catchy name and I have been using it in e-mail addresses for years.
