      <description>&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyStart:736407f7-4531-4ae8-80c2-f9dff1943008] --&gt;&lt;div class="jive-rendered-content"&gt;&lt;p&gt;Eight months is a long way off.&amp;#160; Chances are that week will disappear along the way.&amp;#160; Life happens.&amp;#160; Could be a cold, or injury or family or work obligations, or vacation or snowstorm, etc. etc. It is very hard to maintain an exact schedule for that long without interruption.&amp;#160; I wouldn't worry about it now, just do the best you can to safely build up your mileage and when you are a month away from the race, if you still are exactly on schedule, then deal with the extra week.&amp;#160; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyEnd:736407f7-4531-4ae8-80c2-f9dff1943008] --&gt;</description>

      <title>running plans a week off?</title>

I have about 8 months (37 weeks) until the event and I am using HH's novice 1, novice 2, and intermediate to help get me there.&amp;#160; As I was maping this out on my google calendar, I realized I finish a week before the actual half marathon. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Should I move the intermediate plan back a week or should I take it easy that week? &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;If I leave it finishing a week early, should I go ahead and run a practice half marathon the weekend before?&amp;#160; (I am a little anxious to do this.&amp;#160; I'd like to wait and run it for the race weekend.&amp;#160; the weekend I finish is also the weekend of the first 5k I ran this past year and I'd like to run it again.) &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Thanks for the advice! &lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyEnd:3b05a7b5-6ca4-44c5-9550-82f5faa232fc] --&gt;</description>
