Congrats TB, you survived!!!

You managed your run very well. You had no choice with that temperature (the hottest mid-april since 1949). Trying to push yourself in these conditions was dangerous. It was not a race, it was a long run in Paris (which is not bad ).

Being used to run in the cold and then in the heat for a marathon is a no gainer. Consider it as a long run, and you know what? You can have your revenge in Ottawa in six weeks (that's what I did after Boston 2004).

The Boston Athletic Association site warns runners against risk of hypothermia!!! Oh my God!

I was at the mountain also yesterday, at about 1:20 pm. Ran up the old carriage road around the cross and back down then ran back up and did it again. Not sure my time or distance sinse somewhere along the run my Garmin batteries ran out. I was hoping to run around 25 km, Guess i may have been a little short. Saw the lovely KJ and her freind on top, sorry I couldn't stop to chat, stupid me only had one layer on top and was feeling cold enough without stopping. Hope you both had a nice run KJ.

I have a feeling Merc is gonna hate the weather forcast for Boston Tomorrow;

FORECAST: Boston Marathon
The most up-to-date weather forecast calls for a predicted Spring storm on Monday, including heavy rains (potentially 3 to 5 inches), with the start temperatures in the mid to upper 30's. Wind will likely be East (in the face of the participants for most of the race) in the 20 to 25 mile per hour range, with gusts to as much as 50 miles per hour. This will produce a wind chill index of 25 to 30-degrees Fahrenheit.

BTW good luck today Easygo on your orienteering race.

Truxx I am assuming your running the 10K in St-Laurent, good luck and let us know how it went.

Any, congrats on your first 5k good luck in your race. Keep it up and you will be running on the mountain with us in no time.

I can confirm this. Over here, it's 24 degree and sunny. The forecast predits nice weather for the whole weekend and 26 degree on sunday. Weather report for our marathoners...

Boston: Rain, rain and rain, lower 40s for next Monday. Nothing's new here with that never ending winter.

Paris: sunny and a high of 26C!!!! for Sunday.

Autrement dit : one will run in a fridge, the other in an oven!!!

Biggest Hurley's turn-out we've had for a while ... in attendance were JB, TB, KJ, Merc and his friend Don, Truxx, RG, and me. Even DR passed by during her training run to say hello. But where oh where was MLC? He "said" he was going to be there ... OH! Never trust a car salesman!!!

Great time to be had by all ... loved all the stories, especially the last one. Thanks guys!

Big idea of the evening - we all put our names into the 2008 NYC marathon lottery and depending on who gets accepted, we do some sort of theme costume and run together ... maybe even a catepillar! Who's in?
