Get serious! She has completed Umstead, Grand Teton among other races. We all go through our trials. God knows I have after 4 DNF's in 2007. She made it through the WS lottery and got in. Either you are jealous of her accomplishments or clearly you have an axe to grind. Do us all a favor. Take it somewhere else.

when you miss the cutoff are you also going to publically put WS down like you did with the very well run Vermont 50.....when you are doing too much, undertrained and slow?

I think that WS would benefit from a rule that if a runner finishes the race in a given year, they then have to skip a year before throwing thier name in the hat again. And, sure, I too say ditch the TTL thing.

Any other WS applicants out there who would be two-time losers (TTLs) if they don't get in on Saturday? I'm one of the many who would be in that boat and have done some thinking about it as it doesn't seem possible that the TTL provision will be in place after this year. I've written up my preliminary thoughts on the subject here:

Well, I guess I'm a shoe-in for '09 since the rules remain the same. Congrat's Jamie (you'll do awesome), and Merigayle. I'm thinking maybe I'll head out to WS and pull pacer duty this year, kinda scope out the scene a little bit.
