Ugh! I drank it for a year in Iwakuni. I can stomach it, but it's not GOOD, in my opinion Coors Light for this Texas girl Or Shiner. And I know I'm in the minority here, but I loved that pumpkin ale they served at the MCM Expo last year.

I am a Coors Light girl....I know it's not very fancy and I only drink that because my husband gets tired of buying mixed drinks! He on the other hand loves to try all kinds of beer. I believe right now he is on a wheat kick.

So this past weekend. I went on a Pub crawl of Micro-breweries in Portland, OR. My favorite by far was MacTarnahans. I preferred the Hefferweisen, but the Amber and Honey were pretty good too. Also went to another place called Bridgeport. Wasn't really impressed with theirs. We got the sampler of 8 beers. Only 4 were really drinkable. 2 were just a plain old party foul that NO ONE wanted to drink! YUCK! 2 were okay, but I would never go out of my way to drink them again. Black Strap Stout, was disgusting. I like a Stout and can get down with a Guiness every once in a while, but this was the grossest tasting thing I have ever had. Like drinking off someones boot strap after they road around in the sun all day. A close second was their something Czar. Yuck again. There were a few more stops after that, but we couldn't find them, so no other interesting out of state beers. Ironically I found one of them on the night of my birthday being served in WOODBRIDGE, VA! So now I can say I at least got to try a third Portland Brewery! All in all, I strongly suggest MacTarnahans! It was good.

I know, I know. . . my advice is invaluable. . . but I'll throw those two in for free. I'm sure Jimmy can offer something far more productive though.

Given certain circumstances, such nectar of the Gods is warranted... but when given the choice, that's still good cooking beer. But to tell you the truth, it was my favorite college beer - at least for the first and maybe second degree. Though I love Olympia for playing quarters. The masters was reserved for Guinness and Smithwicks.

Here's a good summer brew if you can find it: Moosbacher weisbier with a slice of lemon. Some love orange. I'm not one of those. Only available in about 10 states but it should be catching on. Distributorship coming soon in the San Antonio area in the fall. Avail in NJ, PA, MD, FL, IN a d a few other states.

Take care of the cat -- looks like my Teddie -- my only cat. We have 10, but Teddie (Theodora) pays not attention to anyone/anything else in the world except for me. Even wakes me up on the morning if I sleep through the alarm. Funny thing - she looks a bit like my black lab (white on the paws & chest)

Some Otter Creek it will be, but some surprises as well.
