Yeah I don't think I would want to disable anything, incase of the chance where the motor may be over heating, then I would be in a much worse predicament!! Guess I just deal with it if I don't get any other info from local gyms or I'll just take my long runs outside on days I can get someone to watch my toddler for me!!

It's just that right at that point I am at a pretty fast pace and it's quite frustrating to come to a dead stop like that and get back moving again> I know I shouldn't complain maybe but it's just I'm so close to the end, and then it completely erases my time and distance and calories, so i can't keep total track of it, cause I obviously don't want to stand there w/pen and paper and right it down before I start back up again. Just frustrating!!

KEEP ON RUNNING!!:)

Carey

If that's the case, then overriding the software would not be a good idea. However, if you can restart it right away, why not just do so? - would probably be a 30 sec break at most, and you could treat it as a water stop.

Whether this is for the safety of the machien or the runner, I don't know. However, electric motors are not designed to work under load for an indefinite amount of time without some sort of constant cooling or lubrication. If you remove or disable the mechanism that is shutting the treadmill down, you may find that the machine will suddenly shut down because of an overheating or seized motor, which is much worse.

That sounds incredibly frustrating though. If you bought it somewhere that specializes in selling Home Gyms and fitness equipment, your best bet may be to ask them as they are usually very knowledgeable about he products. On the other hand, if you bought it at a chain sporting goods store, they probably won't be able to help you much. I'm not surprised that Nordictrack support wasn't able to help you as they are more general customer support rather than product experts.

Wish I could offer more help, but I would definitely try a specialty store that sells fitness equipment.

It was definitely not a cheap machine, I specifically spent a ton of money for what I thought would be a good long lasting durable machine...Hope I wasn't wrong!!! In fact I won't let anyone else use it, cause I know I won't have that kind of money again saved up for a long time to replace it, so this stupid 100 minute max is really ******* me off!!! Thanks for your reply, hopefully I can get somewhere with this!!

KEEP ON RUNNING!!:)

Carey
