The biggest diff, on here I go into more details aboput the runs &amp;amp; on facebook I don't. Oh yeah, you got the CAROL'S mixed up!! Carol is going to Phoenix &amp;amp; me (Carole) is running the race tomorrow. ARGGGHHHH!!!!&amp;nbsp; I have come to the realization that it's just not worth it for me to go through months of rest and rehab, only to be able to barely run for 3-4 days.&amp;nbsp; SOOOO...for right now, I am going to start lifting weights again 4 days per week, and walk 5km 3 times per week or so.&amp;nbsp; I guess I am fortunate that I don't HAVE to run to lose weight because I am pretty fit, and I am 6'1" @ 175lbs and lean, so I am really just exercising to maintain my fitness level.&amp;nbsp; I may take up cycling (as I wont have the impact problems that you get w/ running), but I am not going to shell out the $$$ for a road bike quite yet, as we may be making a big move soon!&amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Anyway, I will keep up w/ all of you on FB, and I may still post on here from time to time, but I don't see much running in the near future anyway.&amp;nbsp; Perhaps next year after the move (and after my health insurance at the new place kicks in) I may go to another specialist and see what they can do for me with regards to running, but until then, I will just pump some iron, and eat right.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Keep up the great work everyone! &lt;img height="16px" src="http://community.active.com/images/emoticons/happy.gif" width="16px"/&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyEnd:78ba85bc-83b0-40ed-a91c-7c187443710c] --&gt;</description>

Even though I had a big fight with one of my sisters cuz they are not telling me when my dad goes in the hospital. He is in there now due to the surgery he had, there was some infection. She says if I called them more I would know this stuff, I told her that they don't seem to like talking to me on the phone, so I email instead, since every time we talk on the phone we end up in a fight, and we did this time as well. I wish I had never added them to facebook. But I did call the hospital &amp;amp; found a nurse that was really nice &amp;amp; said I could call her to see how he is doing. Now I just need to find someone at the nursing home that won't be influenced by my sisters, they like to make things extremely hard for me when it comes to my dad. I lived near my parents for the past 30 years, this has been the 1st year without him &amp;amp; they seem to take pleasure in knowing I am miserable without him. I can't type this on facebook cuz they will read it &amp;amp; make things harder. Strangers &amp;amp; friends have been kindedr to me over the years than my own sisters have. Sad isn't it? I told my girls to always be there for each other. It use to be that way for me &amp;amp; my middle sister, but then my oildest sister decided to put an end to that. They had not spoken to each other for YEARS, and I talked to bothe of them &amp;amp; always tried to get them to make up, well it finally worked, but now they do not wish to talk to me. funny how stuff works out, so when my mom died I lost her, then my Dad and now both of them. SO then I gotta start over again!!! Sux!!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt; &amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Anyway, today was my last practice run before the 5k on Sat. I wish my bday was on the 19th instead of the 21st cuz it would be a cool bday present if I did well!!! I ran 3.13 miles in 33.58 minutes, was hoping to trim a little more time off but I did the best I could. The 1st 2 miles were pretty good but the 3rd was murder, my tummy hurt. Ed tried to splice my old headset &amp;amp; new one together last nite cuz I like my old one &amp;amp; the new one works but hurts so now they are both broke!!! So I had to run with one of those old style headsets that cover&amp;nbsp; your ears &amp;amp; it was hot &amp;amp; uncomfortable. My neighbor is working&amp;nbsp; on it now, I trust him to fix stuff more than Ed!!!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt; &amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I am excited &amp;amp; nervouse about this 5k. I am glad that Ed &amp;amp; the girls are coming &amp;amp; a few friends said they would come too, last one only Ed &amp;amp; the kids came &amp;amp; G threw a fit at the end &amp;amp; we had to leave fast. This time it is in my little town &amp;amp; I am gonna hang around for the results &amp;amp; stay for any drawings. I have only run that one race &amp;amp; am not used to running with other people so I am nervous about that, but I get to run with Laura &amp;amp; as I said before I think she will keep me motivated to run faster!!!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt; &amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;This will be my last race for a while due to funds. I lost both babysitting jobs due to problems with the people not getting the extra hours they wanted &amp;amp; one friends little girl did not get into the head start preschool program &amp;amp; Ed was demoted due to cutbacks in the company. So if I thought things were tuff before I am gonna out of my mind stressed now!!! I forgot to start my stopwatch today until I had run a mile, but after my run I think I did the math correctly, I ran 3.1 miles in 34 minutes. I hope I can do that for my 5k on Sat or better. My 1st 5k was 40 minutes! I plan to run Tue, Wed &amp;amp; Thur to work on my speed &amp;amp; take off Fri. I am only running about a 5k each time so I think it will be ok. I am so excited about this 5k. It is in my town, benefits my kids school, am running with my firend Laura &amp;amp; will probably see alot of town people I know.The kids are excited about coming too &amp;amp; Ed said he would come as well &amp;amp; take some pictures! Maybe I could even place for my age group, I think it is 45 to 49.       <description>&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyStart:6a727c63-5da7-48ea-8a9b-3644ac09b240] --&gt;&lt;div class='jive-rendered-content'&gt;&lt;p&gt;I just finished registering for the Phoenix HM.&amp;nbsp; I really can't believe I'm doing this!&amp;nbsp; If you haven't registered yet but plan to, do it before the 15th, because the price goes up after that.&amp;nbsp; Don't leave Carol and me hanging!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Carol, you will definitely have my support in training, especially since I'm already training for the HM I signed up for on Nov. 1.&amp;nbsp; I have to do that one faster than 15 min/mile, and even though I know I can manage that, I'm still super-nervous.&amp;nbsp; I keep thinking about not showing up, even though I'm registered and paid.&amp;nbsp; I won't do that, but I get so nervous sometimes that it's tempting.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Carole, I have bought quite a few different types of earphones, and I always end up using my &lt;a class="jive-link-external-small" href="http://www.amazon.com/Philips-SHS3200-37-Flexible-Earhook/dp/B000G0JKNM/ref=pd_sim_e_3"&gt;cheap Philips ones&lt;/a&gt;.&amp;nbsp; I got them at Target.&amp;nbsp; They don't sound the greatest, but they do the job.&amp;nbsp; I considered giving &lt;a class="jive-link-external-small" href="http://www.amazon.com/Sony-MDR-J10-Headphones-Non-Slip-Design/dp/B000092YR6/ref=pd_cp_e_2"&gt;these Sony ones&lt;/a&gt; a try.&amp;nbsp; I really like the over-the-ear styles, because ear buds never stay in my ears and usually hurt.&amp;nbsp; I got a different Sony set that wrapped around around the back of my head, and they sound great, but one side always falls out.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I have tons of cleaning to do, and it's a cross-training day.&amp;nbsp; I don't think I'll be doing another Jillian Michaels workout for cross-training before my long run again.&amp;nbsp; I hurt for FOUR DAYS from that last week.&amp;nbsp; Sure wish I had a rowing machine!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyEnd:6a727c63-5da7-48ea-8a9b-3644ac09b240] --&gt;</description>
