Well that region you speak of out West will get some of my miles. I will definately take a beer when we next cross paths there my friend. Charlotte you will be missed but you have my other info. Immer I will fondly remember your stories as the month passes by. I still have internet access as of right now so until they shut me down I will post. I wonder how my little sister is doing today? Well it is off to the car repair shop and then to try and encounter some wildlife.

The whole area is amazing! The javelinas and roadrunners were pretty entertaining, the scenery is gorgeous, the play of light as you move across terrain is really cool; if I'd had one of those hats with the eyes on it, like the woodcutters in India, I might have kept going up the trail that day, too, but it was approaching sunset and the freshness of the cat's calling card said solo running wasn't so smart.

Jimmy already knows the story of my trail run in the Chisos Mts in Big Bend, terminated early after encountering fresh, large, green, hairy mountain lion scat on the trail. A group run there might be wiser........

Not sure where you are going in TX, Big Bend is a great place to spend some time. Some great trail running with hills if you want them. It's very hot, but dry. Take care and have fun.

(I had been counting on having July off myself. But they didn't lay us off at the end of June like they said they would. Now it looks like I'll have October off.)
