My shins are starting to hurt about 3/4 of the way through my workout but I am able to finish so that makes me really happy. Sometimes when I get frustrated from getting tired or having a bad day I just remind myself that no one was born running a marathon. Everyone has to work up to it, and along the way there are struggles and setbacks. Congrats to everyone on their completions of their workouts!!! I realized about halfway through that I hadn't drank any water all day!!!! I felt like an idiot. What a huge mistake but I'm pretty sure I learned my lesson. I made it through the whole thing though. I've started running down the busiest street in my neighborhood. I've found that when I know people can see me that I push myself a lot harder. And it has been an opportunity for me to work on my self-esteem. Haha! I mean, who cares what other people are thinking about me? I'm running! I'm going something positive for my health! &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Feeling pretty good about this week. Slightly nervous about the weeks ahead. Trying to focus on one day at a time. I've not had to stop running at any point so far...so I'm going to just keep going for it! Just try and make it up tomorrow. I think these heats are getting to a lot of us. It's just miserable.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Well, as I just said I woke up this morning feeling kind of blah and unmotivated, little desire to do much of anything. I'm not really sure why. I decided that since I really wasn't feeling the whole running thing I would just finish up the sparkpeople motivational collage I had been working on. Well it actually turned out to be 2 collages because I had so many things I wanted to put in it that it couldn't all fit in 1. The strange thing, is that while I began going through old pictures to add to my collages I began to remember how strong and confident I once was, as well as considerably thinner (about 70 lbs, not even 6 years ago). As I began to get the collages put together I began to get that fire back I had for the last month and ended up getting my run in on the treadmill after all, late in the evening but better late then never right. So, it got me thinking. I don't know if any of you have done one, but I will say it does help to motivate. I started but had to repeat one week after a car accident. I started at 200 pounds but I'm going down little by little. My run days are Monday, Wednesday and Friday and I completed a scary W4D1 workout on Monday - I was so thankful that the machine accidentally cut off during my first run so I can get a few extra breaths! I've come so far and so have all of you - I'm inspired reading through everyone's progress.
