      <title>C25k starting next week 11/16- who's in?</title>

I'm 28 (well, I will be in a couple of days), mother to a 2 year old, and about 40lbs. overweight. I have never been an athlete, and definately not a runner. I started the c25k program last summer, but living in Southern California, the heat killed me, and I quit. I had already signed up for a 5k mud run this past September, and it kicked my butt! But, it also made me realize how out of shape I am, and how badly I want to be in shape. SO... now that the weather has started cooling off, I thought I'd give it another go!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Anyone want to start it with me next week? I got answers to my rookie questions by reading other people's threads and learned from their experience. For someone who doesn't know any other runners, this is a lifesaver.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;After a failed attempt at the c25k program last year, I was able to complete it a few weeks ago and have been building up my mileage in preparation for my first 5K, which will be tomorrow. I did about 4 three mile+ runs so far, and I'm happy to say that I didn't even get any leg pain after my last one. My last running day was Monday, so I will have 2 full days of rest before the run tomorrow. I bought some new warmer workout clothes (really hard to find warm running pants when you're only 5 feet tall!) and got a new pair of running shoes, which I tested on Monday with great results.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I've been running on roads outside, usually in the morning, so I think I'll be prepare to handle whatever weather we have tomorrow here in Mass. Besides that, I just have to figure out what to have for breakfast tomorrow, how early I should get there, and what to do as far as warming up. I was hoping to get advice from the pros... I usually don't eat anything before my runs since I go very early. I'm afraid to throw my body off by eating but also scared of passing out if I don't eat anything. This run starts at 8:30, which is about 2 hours later than my usual. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;What about warming up? I read somewhere that you should do about 1 mile of running, then stretch before the actual run begins. Is that true?
