Other good Virginia Half Marathons?

What are some good half marathons in Virginia? I have run the

Charlottesville Half, which runs in March, which is a great course, but

challenging (i.e. hilly). I also ran the Patrick Henry Half in Ashland last year, which I

thought was a good course and well run, but it was very hot (it's in August).

I am thinking about the Danville Half

in September which apparently is flat and fast. Anybody here ever run

it? Or know of any other good half marathons in Virginia?

Registration opens for next year is Nov 18, 2009

We are unable to use our two slots due to knee injuries... I hate for them to go to waste. Will transfer them to you for $20 transfer fee plus $10 reduced registration/$30 each. Dinner Saturday Night

I know we have plans for burgers afterwards, anyone here is invited if they want to go......

Where do you go on Saturday night, I will be there friday afternoon and last year went to the Pasta dinner, but dont plan on it this year.

Any suggestions on where to eat... looking for chicken and pasta.......

I ran the WDW 1/2 marathon last weekend with a time of 2:50. The course was flat for the most part. Will I likely be the last across the finish line with times like this. My only goals are to finish with someone behind me and under 2:50.

So who is running the MCHH

Packet Pick-Up Team Work

Hello! I'm looking for anyone interested in minimizing the number of runners driving to Fredericksburg tomorrow for packet pick up. Is anyone interested in either making the drive and picking up 2 #s for me ($20/packet sound fair?), or in paying me the same rate to make the drive for them? Let me know - thanks! _Reenie

please help!

i know that active.com does not give refunds, but i have registered myself for the race in jacksonville, fl. when i actually live in jacksonville nc. i absolutely have no way to every make it to the jacksonville florida race and i have to register immediately for the marine corps half marathon that's taking place this saturday (the 26th) in north carolina. it's being held at Verona Loop, and the registration is slightly less expensive than the florida race. Is there any way i can pay a fee and switch registration entries, or even if i register for the appropriate race, can you please credit my card? i have been an active.com member for a long time and i always recommend the site to friends who are new to competitive running. i do not have the resources to pay for both races, and would consider it an act of the highest quality in customer care if you could offer any advice or support.

how much time do we have before they close the race?

I'm planning to run this race but can't find anywhere the maximum time to finish this race before they pack everything up. I'm a slower runner and may be the last one to cross the line. Would like to know how much time I have before I'm considered DNF. Thank you!
