      <title>Do I need a Tri-bike for Ironman?</title>

      <description>&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyStart:df504c7e-ca4d-44d9-8c07-9c0188b82735] --&gt;&lt;div class='jive-rendered-content'&gt;&lt;p&gt;So I'm planning on doing an Ironman in 2011 and I can't decide if I should get the tri-bike or a road bike.&amp;#160; I'm doing 2 olympic triathlons and a half IM in 2010.&amp;#160; After the IM, I plan on just doing mostly olympic triathlons and maybe a half IM every other year or so.&amp;#160; I just don't know if it is worth getting the tri-bike.&amp;#160; My goal is just to finish the Ironman and improve my times for the shorter triathlons.&amp;#160; I do triathlons to keep in shape and to have a fitness goal to work toward.&amp;#160; Do many IM newbies compete on a road bike and do okay?&amp;#160; How much faster would I go on a tri-bike versus road bike?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyEnd:df504c7e-ca4d-44d9-8c07-9c0188b82735] --&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyStart:181fdbca-23af-4a3b-aeae-143950fd77ba] --&gt;&lt;div class='jive-rendered-content'&gt;&lt;p&gt;Hey fellow triathletes, I was wondering if anyone out there could help me with a problem I've been having.&amp;#160; When I ride a bike, any bike, I get lower back pain in a major way.&amp;#160; I've been riding for about a year and a half and am currently on a 2008 Schwinn Prologue, but started out on a Motobecane road bike.&amp;#160; I do lower back exercises for strength training and endurance regularly and am getting refit (was fit when I first bought the bike, but want it looked at again) next weekend.&amp;#160; It usually sets in at about 10 miles into a race or training depending on how hard I push.&amp;#160; I am doing my first half ironman in June and while I have the legs for it, my back makes it almost unbearable.&amp;#160; Anyone had this issue and gotten over it?&amp;#160; Thanks for your help&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyEnd:181fdbca-23af-4a3b-aeae-143950fd77ba] --&gt;</description>

I have kept improving and my results are pretty good.&amp;#160; I want to keep improving so I am trying out a new coach and got a new bike 2010 felt s32 (love it).
