Wetsuit Storage?

What is the best way to store a wetsuit in the off season? Is it bad to fold it up? Or put it in one of those plastic containers? Any advice would be much appreciated!

I have a choice between two brand new bikes... Roughly at the same price.

2008 Specialized S Works Transition

I can't decide between the two. I know more of you ride the Cervelo but let me know any pros or cons of either.

I will use my own wheelset 404/808.

Any feedback is great.

I am wanting to get into triathlons. I was wondering what type of equipment and a bike would be best for a beginner?

What is the difference: Road vs. Tri Bike?

I've always wanted to do a triathlon and this past season I finally found the guts to start. Now I am hooked.

I only have a mountain bike and have been doing the tri's on it (sprint distance). I have completed a century ride on a hybrid (yes 111 miles on a sit-up bike). I have actually never even been on a road or tri bike before.

I want to start doing longer distances and complete a half by the end of next season. I would really like to get a bike that will help me do that quicker and easier than my mountain bike (which ended up being a zillion times faster than the hybrid). I don't really know what the difference is. I've heard that tri bikes are faster, but road bikes are more comfortable. If athletes ride 112 miles on a tri bike for the ironman, why would anyone get a slower bike to start with?

So a couple questions:

1) What are the differences between road and tri bikes?

2) Being able to buy only one bike, is it smarter to buy a tri bike or a road bike when triathlons are my main goal?

Vibram Fivefingers - Thoughts & Opinions?

Hello!

I do apologize if this has been asked before (I searched and found nothing though) but I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on these Fivefingers "shoes" from Vibram? I have only been able to find positive comments about them! It seems almost too good to be true. I know someone who has them (he hates shoes) and I've personally been on a backpacking trip with him (4.5mi in, 4.5mi out) and he wore them the entire time. REI's website has 16 reviews, and the worst rating was a 3/5 (only two of those, the rest were 5/5).

So, I decided to take the plunge and shell out $85+tax for a pair of my own (the 'KSO' or 'Keep Stuff Out' model)... But I was wondering if anyone has ever trained in them? Used them in a tri? I'm looking for advice on adjusting because, if it goes well, I would like to wear them almost exclusively (assuming they live up to the hyped health benefits and are comfortable).

Kiwami Kaiman Tri Suit

Hey all!

If anyone is in the market for a new long distance tri suit, I totally, without a doubt, recommend the Kiwami Kaiman. The material is so soft if feels like second skin. One of those things you put on and just know it's a winner. No chafing, tons of pockets...I would recommend to size down on what you would normally buy, but if you read the specs you'll see what I mean. I usually don't get to crazy when it comes to a product, but I wanted to share my satisfaction. Happy Tri-ing.

Wheel Set Selection Question?

I am shopping for a new Tri bike and wanted feedback on wheel selection. What high performance wheel set would you buy? Do you go with 606, 808 or 1080? Do you mix the front and back sizes? This is for half Irion and Oly distance events.

Good anti-fog stuff?

Happy Monday all! Hope everyone had a productive weekend, particularly if you were racing.

Could the community give me some suggestions on a good anti-fog solution? The factory stuff has worn off my favorite goggles. I tried some stuff called "Cat ****" from REI but it really isn't doing the job.

Need a quick read: "new" tri bike on a budget--2003 Martec/BP Stealth

Anyone have an opinion on whether a monocoque 2003 Martec/BP Stealth is worth a $500 gamble on eBay? I am currently riding a ~2000 Cannondale R600 with Shimano 105 components, a Profile clipon, and mismatched wheelset (the only components I'm proud of are the saddle and pedals)--but it currently works and I am not sure I have gotten all I can out of the "engine" yet. Would this be a significant enough of an upgrade to make it worth the hassle, or should I keep riding the old one until I can afford something new? Probably asking the impossible, but the auction closes in a few hours, so any quick help would be appreciated. Sorry for the duplicate post, but I am trying to maximize my chances of getting the info...
