I appreciate it. I'm Joe Drape, th author. I'm proud of "Our Boys." The Redmen have won 68 in a row, the longest high school winning streak in the nation. Coach Roger Barta is the kind of coach who never raises his voice or talks about winning or losing. The town is amazing. My family and I moved there for most of last year. We were through there last week, too, as they kicked off their season with a 59-0 victory over Plainville.

A Legal Message or a Dirty Play?

News from Idaho, where a coach was suspended after a series of violent plays .

Highland High School has a star player named Taysom Hill, who will play football at Stanford next year. Hill is the quarterback, and handles kickoffs for Highland as well.

Pocatello High School, in response to Hill being everywhere, decided to dedicate a player on the kickoff-return team to simply knock the snot out of Hill as he was kicking off. It happened several times during the game, though Hill fortunately wasn't injured.

Pocatello was never flagged on any of the plays. Should they have been?

So I guess you can say I'm on a sports movie kick right now and it might be due to the fact that I'm new to life without college athletics after graduating this May, but either way a kick is a kick. Here are my two favorites...Remember the Titans and Invincible. I'm an Eagles fan from Philadelphia so Invincible is a given for me.

Any good advise for first time football Father?

I was wondering if anyone had any tips of things to do or not to do as the father of the player thats playing.My son is 8 and will be 9 when he gets to play and about 65 pounds.He really loves football and is really looking foward to playing in the fall.My problem is I've never been involed in any orginized sports and could really use some advise from someone thats been through it before as a parent.

Football bracketing software?

Hello. I'm interested in helping my league by improving the manner in which we bracket teams for scheduling. I believe it can be done by averaging players, age/weight/experience levels. I am wondering if anyone has experience doing this or knows of any software available so I don't have to try and reinvent the wheel. Thanks in advance.
