Which Camps do You Recommend?

Of all the sports camps out there, I was wondering which ones Active.com users recommend...for soccer and other sports as well. Has anyone tried an adventure sports or action sports camps? I know Woodward is a reputable camp--do you know of any others?

Fall 2009 Responsible Sports Grants For Soccer Teams Available

Liberty Mutual is giving away $50,000 this fall to youth sports organizations through their Responsible Sports Community Grant Program. Twenty (20) organizations will each earn $2,500 for demonstrating their commitment to responsibility in youth sports. It's easy -- Just get as many parents, coaches and fans of your team, club, or league as you can to take the Responsible Sports courses and quizzes. Each passed quiz earns your youth soccer organization a point - and the organizations with the most points win!

Don't think that just because you're small, you can't win -- because organizations only compete with those of similar sizes. Large organizations, small organizations, and schools will all have their own winners of $2,500 grants.

acl injury.anyone been there?

I'm 16, a highschool soccer-playing sophmore, and 4 months into my recovery from surgery for acl/meniscus tear. Is there any one who has been through this before? I've spent the whole school year in physical thearpy, and working out as much as I can at the gym. I'm finally running short distances, and was recently fitted for my brace that I'll wear my first year back. That gives me some hope, but the thing is, most of the time lately, it feels like I'll never play any sports again, it's going to be so much work to get back into soccer-shape when that time does come. and make up for all the skills that I've lost over the year. it starts to seem just cant be done, and even if it can, playing soccer will never be the same as it was before. and with the odds of re-injuring my knee, or injuring the other one, it just seems impossible. How does anyone get past all this negitiveity? how does someone play soccer again after an injury this extreame?

USA v. Brazil? Taking bets!

Today the USA takes on Brazil. Last time they met Brazil won 3-0, since then Brazil lost to South Africa and USA beat the mighty Spain 0-2. I personally know logic says Brazil, but Im goin for the USA. Anyone else?

Hello all.

I currently play soccer for the adult soccer league @ my YMCA. I am thoroughly enjoying it! Quite a few of the others playes as well as myself would like to find a field as well as other players to get together with on Saturdays for pick up games of soccer when the current season finishes in a few weeks. Any one interested or know of a field we could utilize in the general orlando/oviedo florida area would be great.

I started playing soccer for AYSO when I was a sophmore in high school. I played a year of soccer at Bethany College and I transfered. I have gotten out of shape and would like to get back into shape and play soccer. Are there any soccer groups or leagues in Wichita,KS?
