What Are Your Plans This Summer?

Just wondering what summer plans other people have. For the first time since 8th grade I'm taking a real summer vacation: a 3-week drive from San Diego to Vancouver and back.

My fiance is super excited about the chance to camp for 3 weeks straight; I am scheduling periodic chiropractic appointments along the way.

What do other people have planned? Anybody heading up to the Pacific Northwest? Anybody know how big the mosquitos are in British Columbia? I hear they are HUMONGOUS.

2 Paddle in the Park Saturday, June 6th from 10AM-4PM

Bring your friends to the 10th annual Paddle in the Park—a

partnership between Five Rivers MetroParks’ Outdoor Recreation

Department, Whitewater Warehouse, Dayton Canoe Club and the Miami

Conservancy District.

It's free! You will have the oppertunity to learn everything you ever

wanted to know about paddlesports and more. There will be all styles of

boats there—whitewater, touring, and recreational. You’ll meet the best

kayak and canoe manufacturers in the industry and see first hand the

right boat to fit your paddling needs. There will be a variety of land

based classes as well as basic on water clinics. All ages and skills

levels are welcome!

Anyone planning a road trip for the upcoming spring/summer season? Lexus Magazine (who I do a little work with) has a couple great road trip itiniraries that look really fun and interesting including a new Outer Banks one. I think the Big Sur trip looks like the most exciting. I've heard it's incredibly scenic. What about you guys - which one do you think would be the best one?
