Australian rules football in Bakersfield

Back in 2005, the very first Australian rules football team was created, in Bakersfield.

In October of that year, an exhibition match was held in Bakersfield, with 3 other teams from the south taking part.

The Bakersfield Barbarians won their match. And the team was made up of 2 parents, teenagers and others in their mid twenties.

Australian rules football, or 'footy' as its also known, is played right across the US.

Some cities have leagues not only for men,but for women and juniors to.

At the end of each year, there is a national tournament, for the teams across the US to take part in.

In addition to this, the most skilled US players can represent their country in a international tournament, which is held in Melbourne Australia.

Footy is a fast, action sport and its also full contact. However, special rules and changes can be made, so that the game is totally safe for youngsters and or beginners.

If you would like a new challenge, or perhaps have heard of footy before and would like to try it, then the Bakersfield Barbarians welcomes you.

For all of you juniors and/or seniors out there. What is the latest in recruiting for you? Have you committed any where yet? There seems to be many options for getting exposure to colleges. I would like to get feed back from anyone who has recently experienced the recruiting process.

Did you use a service? Which one? Was it free? What do you think a recruiting platform should offer?

Does your son or daughter need safe effective nutritional products to help them get a competitive advantage?
