12U Outlaws Softball - private tryouts

Based out of Woburn and Lawrence areas, we are a first year 12U team that will be primarily based out of Extra Innings in Woburn during the winter.

If your looking to play competitive softball and receive top notch instruction, this may be the team for you.

Successful college player & instructor will be the head coach for this team.

We plan to play in 8-9 tournaments from May to August.

Seeking a few players to close out the roster for the 2013 season.

All positions are open. We are seeking well rounded players that want to improve their skills, learn the game and multiple positions.

Futsal 8 - 10 Year Olds (8:00 am - 8:45 am)

Futsal 11 - 14 Year Olds (8:45 am - 9:45 am)

Futsal is a variant of soccer that is played on a smaller pitch and mainly played indoors. Futsal is player between two teams each with five players, one of whom is the goalkeeper. Unlimited subsitutions are permitted. Unlike some other forms of indoor soccer, the game is played on a hard court surface delimited by lines; walls or boards are not used. Futsal is also played with a smaller ball with less bounce than a regular soccer ball. The rules create an emphasis on improvision, creativity and technique as well as ball control and passing in small spaces. The best soccer players around the world developed their skills at an exponential rate using the Futsal as a training tool. Ronaldinho, Robinho, Messi, Iniesta, Villa Pele, Maradona and Zidane to name a few have all played the game of Futsal

Have you ever seen a player who has "sticky feet"? The ball seems to be tehtered to their feet as they move up and down the field. They can change direction on a dime, and reverse direction instantly. HOw do players develop that skill? There are two answers, TECHNIQUE and TRAINING. The Hab Hurricanes Teams are looking for positional players as follows:

The Hab for Sports in Uxbridge Ma will be running travel softball teams out of its facility for the 2012 season. The Hab is now a complete indoor and outdoor training facility for softball. The Hab has indoor batting cages and indoor fields as well as a brand new outdoor field and batting cage. Every team involved in the travel program will receive a 12 week winter workout program. Included in this program is an hour a week of speed and agility training specific to softball for each team, one hour a week of indoor field time for each team and two hours of cage time a week for each team.
