I believe there is a clinic this Saturday July 11th at Carlsbad State Beach. Does anyone know what time the clinic starts and ends? Any other details regarding this clinic would be helpful

Hello everyone,

This will be my first triathlon and I had a question about the bike portion of the race. I own a fixed gear bike which as some of you may know, is a bike with no freewheel mechanism. At the moment it has no brakes because your legs are used to slow you down. I understand that bikes are supposed to have front and rear brakes so if I put front and real brakes on would it be legal to use? Or does the fact that its a fixie make it illegal, brakes or not? please help!!

HALF IRONMAN 1985

Hi, I participated in a half ironman in LA in 1985, Anybody know where I can look up my time? I am going to race the sencond one this weekend (after more years that I want to count) and I wanted to have an idea. Thanks in advance... by the way the half is in Mar del Plata, Argentina and you can look it up in www.issports.com.ar

Ocean Swimming

Any soul does afternoon swimming in the Santa Monica/Venice area?

Too cold?

I did not drown in the last Tri (obviously), but the guys on the surf boards kindly reminded me that my course was way off (several times). I did only practice in the ocean twice before signing for the olympic (and I did it!!) Now I got a suit. I've only tried once. Makes a bit of a difference. My swimming time shall be better this year.

I probably need some good training.

Wher can I find a swimmer who wants to race on a mixed relay wit ha **** good female runner and a not too shabby, but tall, TT rider?
