Has anyone been using charter helicopter service to get out of NY, or in for that matter? Did you know there is a way to get from NYC to wherever you want to go.. by helicopter... with a massive cost saving when compared to companies already offering the service. The market is NY is very competitive, but despite the current economic climate, it still costs a lot! Try AirOcean Aviation (www.airocean.com). Charter quotes can be obtained by e-mailing charter@airocean.com. Comparison with one NY based service was $900 cheaper one way from NYC to East Hampton for example.

Workout While Working Abroad

I need some help,

I have recently been relocated to Middle East for a business. The apartment i live in has minimal workout equipment; dumbells up to 25lbs, a single adjustable bench, a exercise bike, and a small pool. The nearest gym is not within reasonable distance cosnidering the traffic that occurs in city everyday around 5pm. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for developing a full body workout i can possibly do with the minimal resources I have?

Renting a Road Bike in St. Tropez

Hi im going to St. Tropez for 10 days at the beginning of June. I want to rent a decent roadbike there to be able to ride there. I have been looking online and have not been able to find any rental places. Does anybody know where i could rent one?

If not i will have to travel with my bike and probably pay the extra US100.00 each way to get the bike case on the plane.

Cheap Tickets Beware

Has anyone ever had trouble when booking trips through discount ticket sites? Some friends of mine just left for Argentina on tickets bought from Cheaptickets.com. But due to a code share problem, LAN would not honor the flight.

She says:

"Cheap Tickets pretty much threw up their hands as the scenario unfolded and wouldn't even offer to buy tickets for us to solve the problem. To be clear, Cheap Tickets admitted it was their failure. Basically they set up the ticket without checking to make sure that all of the airlines had agreements with each other."

I ran into a similar issue in Spain when my boyfriend and I booked a rental car for two weeks through a similar site. When we got to the airport in Madrid, there was no record of our reservation and we had to pay a lot more then was originally quoted.

Has anyone encountered trouble like this? Or do you recommend one site over the others? I am inclined to stay away from these sites when it comes to international travel or just use them as a resource and then go directly to the airline to book the flight.
