Happy Thanksgiving TEAM MGD64!

Warm wishes for a wonderful holiday weekend with your family and friends.

With less than a week until December 1st we would like to encourage all of you to incorporate MGD 64 into your holiday festivities. It will go great with your home-cooked feasts as it is the lightest calorie beer on the market! Remember to take lots of photos and submit them with your reports by Sunday night.

Let's give it one last push for the month of November and show them what it is all about Team. As of today, the current market high score is as follows for the month of November:

  • Phoenix: 80

The overall market high score for the month of November is currently 300 points. You still have 5 days to beat out the competition - we know that you can do it!

I look forward to hearing about your weekend's events when I pull the report on Monday and again have a very safe and happy holiday.

Warm regards,

Team MGD64 Management

I couldn't post pictures on a comment to your original thread, so thought I would start a new one. It was fun to run into Karen again before the start of the race. I am certain she thought I was crazy!!! The run is also a costume contest, so my 5 person team were dressed as cavemen and women. Of course I had to take the extra step of making it an opportunity for a little MGD 64 product placement, so I had on the wrist bands, had the MGD 64 patch on the front of my top, and an MGD 64 sign on my back side. We had so much fun!!! We even made the Arizona Tribune! [http://www.eastvalleytribune.com/page/slideshowfull/1560/17] But I agree that it was just a deep sand run, with a few obstacles, and a teeny bit of mud at the end. The Camp Pendleton Mud Run info get's posted on Dec 1, and sells out for 2009 in January, so if you are looking for a REAL hard core mud run, THAT is the one to look into. I know I will be!!!

"Catching up"

Posted by azshelley Nov 23, 2008

Hello Everyone! I see what Tanya means about other blogging cities. I think we are all doing a good job keeping everyone informed and I agree. Keep it up! Well anyways...last Saturday was the Tour de Tucson in Tucson and I did the 66miler and I finished it in 4 1/2 hours. I thought I might of been able to finish it sooner but the last 16 miles was a killer. My husband did the 109 miler in 5 1/2 wow! He was going for Gold which is under 5hours. He almost made it. I think about 6 to 7000 people do this every year. It was fun but I was tired when I was done. I would of wore my yellow jersey top but I needed pockets for this long ride...so I attached a couple pictures of me and my friend Christine who did the 66miler together. Also, I added a picture of me getting ready to go on our weekly Saturday ride (the saturday before) with the Phoenix Metro Bike club. I decided to put my yellow shirt on over my longsleeve until I got warm and I did get a couple people asking me about the beer, in which I told them I had coupons back at the truck. Hope everyone has a happy holiday...and hopefully we can get together soon for another happy hour. Shelley

Dudes!!! Take a look at the other cities' blogs.  It's a total snooze fest!!!  We are the only remotely active bloggers on here!!! Even though there is not specific incentive for most active blogger scene.....it says they have the discretion to provide rewards to people who go above and beyond!!!  So let's keep it up!! Whether it's planning get togethers, or letting others know of upcoming events you are racing in, or recapping your recent MGD 64 adventures.....our job is to TALK IT UP!!!  So let's rock the Blogs and stand out as the city who stepped up!!!  WOOT!

NO! I did not run 100 miles!!! BUT my friend did!!!  We were all out there to crew for her, and I was her first night pacer.  So I had the honor of doing one 15.6 mile loop with her at 8pm, when she was 62 miles into it.  FUN TIMES!!!  But since the race started at 6am, and went until noon the following day, I had plenty of time to walk around the event and talk up MGD 64. I had coupons and ice cold beer on what turned out to be a hot day!  People there to support their runner had nothing but time on their hands while waiting for them to do another loop, so it was a great captive audience.  Believe it or not, there were around 150 racers, and each had many people there for support.  It was a great time!  If you ever get the chance to either do this, or help someone do it, I would not pass it up.  It's quite the feat!!

Mad Mud Run

Posted by AmyKr Nov 14, 2008

I think I saw in someone's post that there are a couple people doing the Mad Mud Run?  I'm on Team ATLAS    We're a co-ed team of 5.  I haven't done one of these before and I've heard it's a challenging run.  Has anyone else done it before?  Hopefully I can finally meet a few of you there!

Monday Night Football

Posted by AmyKr Nov 9, 2008

Hello all!  Is anyone else going to be at the Cardinals game on Monday night?  I'm actually a season ticket holder, so looking forward to it.  It's a great place to wear my MGD t-shirt and hand out a few beers while tailgaiting.  Go Cardinals!

MGD64 Hot Air Ballooning

Posted by krosenlof Nov 7, 2008

Hey Team Phoenix,

Thought you might enjoy this pic, even if it doesn't count for any points (it's hard to promote MGD64 in the desert!). My black MGD64 jersey is so big that my husband can (and does) wear it. So he wore it out ballooning last weekend when we crewed for another balloon.

We also have a balloon and will be flying in Chandler on Nov. 22 and during Thanksgiving weekend (definitely Friday morning). If anyone would like to come out and crew (and possibly get a flight out of it), let me know!

This weekend there's an Open Water Swim at Tempe Town Lake (Sunday, 10:30AM Start); there will be ~400 swimmers and a pile of spectators! Come on down and we'll converge on the Tavern on Mill after for a cold MGD 64!

Hello all! Well the happy hour at Teakwoods Tavern on Ray n Kyrene is all set.  I will arrive around 4pm and probably be there until 645pm.  I am going to  the Kathy Griffin Show after.  Brian informed me that they should have plenty of beer and drinks specials.  Also, he said they might have stuff for me to pass out but most likely not.  So, join me in sharing this beer with friends and potential MGD64 drinkers. haha

Also, this Saturday is the Breast Cancer 3mile walk at Tempe town lake.  It starts at 8am and if you would like to participate you can go online at :http://makingstrides.acsevents.org/phoenix.  Or, if you want to show up the day of event...arrive at 7am to register.  Also, if anyone would like to donate to this great cause on my behalf or just because you can log on to the link and do so.  Shelley
