"Catching up"

Posted by azshelley on Nov 23, 2008 10:04:58 PM

Hello Everyone! I see what Tanya means about other blogging cities. I think we are all doing a good job keeping everyone informed and I agree. Keep it up! Well anyways...last Saturday was the Tour de Tucson in Tucson and I did the 66miler and I finished it in 4 1/2 hours. I thought I might of been able to finish it sooner but the last 16 miles was a killer. My husband did the 109 miler in 5 1/2 wow! He was going for Gold which is under 5hours. He almost made it. I think about 6 to 7000 people do this every year. It was fun but I was tired when I was done. I would of wore my yellow jersey top but I needed pockets for this long ride...so I attached a couple pictures of me and my friend Christine who did the 66miler together. Also, I added a picture of me getting ready to go on our weekly Saturday ride (the saturday before) with the Phoenix Metro Bike club. I decided to put my yellow shirt on over my longsleeve until I got warm and I did get a couple people asking me about the beer, in which I told them I had coupons back at the truck. Hope everyone has a happy holiday...and hopefully we can get together soon for another happy hour. Shelley
