Hey Guys! Thanks again for all coming together last night for the team photo!!! (We missed you Dave)!   And Brian.....just in case you are lurking, this is going to be submitted as one team members individual submission, so we are abiding by the "no team submissions" rules.

So we have a couple of options.....   We have the Plain photo, the MGD 64 photo, or the Holiday photo.  Please comment and "Vote" on which one you like best.  Once we agree on which one to submit, I will email it to Shelley.  She came up with the group photo idea, so I think we should let her submit it.  (Unless she thinks otherwise).  BUT, hopefully if we win some thing she will buy us a round!

Hey guys!!!  Following up on our discussion last night, if you are running Windows XP as your operating system, do the following:

1) Go to this Microsoft website: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/Downloads/powertoys/Xppowertoys.mspx

2) Down the right hand side there are a list of downloadable PowerToys.  Choose the one named "Image Resizer."  Download it.

3)  Once it is downloaded, you simply go to My Pictures, or where ever you have your pictures stored, and right click on a picture.  You will still get the usual Right-Click menu, but there will be an added option "Resize Picture."

4) Choose Resize Picture, and you will get an additional window asking what size you want to resize it too.  I usually choose Small or Medium.  It will create a copy of the picture with (small) appended to the name in the same folder as the original picture.  Now the number of bytes that copy takes up will be much less, and you will be able to add them to web pages or send via email with ease.

You can also hold down your Ctrl or Shift key while choosing pictures to create a group of pictures so that when you right click and choose to Resize, it will do them all at the same time.

My tri club recently held our Holiday party and I had MGD featured as the main "free" drink, and also on my costume. (Is there a theme here with me and costumes)?  Last year the girls dressed up, and unbeknownst to us the men came as elves and made a contest out of it.  So this year we expanded it to everyone, and we call came in a holiday costume.  I was the Product Placement Elf!!! Any chance to work in MGD 64 I'm there!!!!  People loved having the ability to drink it all night long, and have it feel light enough to where they could still get their long run or bike ride in the next morning!  Kim even attended the party and ran her awesome half marathon the following morning!!!!  Fun times were had by all!!!  A few pictures from the evening:

Again! Sorry I never saw you Amy!! I kept hearing you were there, but never ran into you! Luckily Kim and I hooked up right before the start. I was very happy with my time this year. I've been able to improve my pace each of the 3 years I have done this race, so I am happy about that!

Here's Kim and I just before the start: (Hey look! I'm taller than someone! WOOT! Sorry Kim)!

I couldn't post pictures on a comment to your original thread, so thought I would start a new one. It was fun to run into Karen again before the start of the race. I am certain she thought I was crazy!!! The run is also a costume contest, so my 5 person team were dressed as cavemen and women. Of course I had to take the extra step of making it an opportunity for a little MGD 64 product placement, so I had on the wrist bands, had the MGD 64 patch on the front of my top, and an MGD 64 sign on my back side. We had so much fun!!! We even made the Arizona Tribune! [http://www.eastvalleytribune.com/page/slideshowfull/1560/17] But I agree that it was just a deep sand run, with a few obstacles, and a teeny bit of mud at the end. The Camp Pendleton Mud Run info get's posted on Dec 1, and sells out for 2009 in January, so if you are looking for a REAL hard core mud run, THAT is the one to look into. I know I will be!!!

Dudes!!! Take a look at the other cities' blogs.  It's a total snooze fest!!!  We are the only remotely active bloggers on here!!! Even though there is not specific incentive for most active blogger scene.....it says they have the discretion to provide rewards to people who go above and beyond!!!  So let's keep it up!! Whether it's planning get togethers, or letting others know of upcoming events you are racing in, or recapping your recent MGD 64 adventures.....our job is to TALK IT UP!!!  So let's rock the Blogs and stand out as the city who stepped up!!!  WOOT!

NO! I did not run 100 miles!!! BUT my friend did!!!  We were all out there to crew for her, and I was her first night pacer.  So I had the honor of doing one 15.6 mile loop with her at 8pm, when she was 62 miles into it.  FUN TIMES!!!  But since the race started at 6am, and went until noon the following day, I had plenty of time to walk around the event and talk up MGD 64. I had coupons and ice cold beer on what turned out to be a hot day!  People there to support their runner had nothing but time on their hands while waiting for them to do another loop, so it was a great captive audience.  Believe it or not, there were around 150 racers, and each had many people there for support.  It was a great time!  If you ever get the chance to either do this, or help someone do it, I would not pass it up.  It's quite the feat!!

Hey Phoenix! I know some of you already, but just thought it would be great to introduce ourselves to each other and find out what active sports each one of us is into. I'll start....

I live in Gilbert and work for an Atlanta based software company. My office is in my home, so I can often be found training right up until 8am when I have to start work. Not having to commute to a job sure does help with training!! I am mainly into Triathlon. I have been racing for 2 years now, after hiring a coach to learn how to swim. (I could not put my face into the water before....it was not pretty)! I also love to do running and biking races as well. I am heavily involved in the beginnertriathlete.com blogging community and have met many people there that I often train with and talk to on a daily basis. If you check it out my username on there is StandsWithFist.

As far as upcoming races I will be doing the SOMA Half Ironman for the second time here in 2 weeks. After that I will be volunteering at Ironman AZ again, and signing up the following morning for my chance to compete in 2009. Then there is a great reverse sprint triathlon on Thanksgiving morning I always do, followed by the Irongirl 10 mile run in December. January will bring about my first Full Marathon, and in February I will do RAGNAR - a 12 person 182 mile run from Wickenburg to Mesa. So I guess over the next 6 months I will have plenty of chances to promote MGD 64!!

Alright, I hope all of you will follow and introduce yourself so we can see how we can better interact and fulfill our roles of team members of Team MGD 64! ~ Tanya

Just finished riding in the 2008 Tour de Scottsdale 70 mile bike ride!!!  Saturday night before the race after logging into the team website I realized that Dave from DCB Adventures, the race director for this race, is also a member of Team MGD64!!! SWEET!!!  So I hunted him down before the race and introduced myself as he got his head glued shut, (he got a nasty gash on the top of his head! You can see the white bandage on top of his head! Hey...it's HARD being an RD)!  He put on a great race and it was a beautiful day!
