French choose BEER over wine

Posted by Rich Southard on Jan 20, 2009 3:07:05 PM

Went to a New Years dinner hosted by a couple who had recently moved to Carlsbad from France. Of course, I took a cooler full of cold MGD 64. It turns out that France is divided into districts (like counties) called departements. The hostess is from Departemente 64, a luxurious coastal area on the Spanish border best known for Biarritz.

She was very excited that we brought a beer especially for her and her origins. (see photo)

HAPPY NEW YEARS ALL!

What a funny coincidence.  Always love to hear the stories behind the photos and glad to excite her about MGD 64!!
