Each of you has a commitment to us to earn at least 100 points by the end of the program; you will be receiving an email with your current points total. Those of you who have not yet reached your contracted 100 points, will need to take the time to upload your photos and reports this week.

Hey Everyone!

Can you believe February will already be over after tomorrow?! Where does the time go?

You all have been extremely active in promoting MGD 64 this past month which has been reflected in all of the activity reports coming in. Our Team Video Contest ended yesterday and we will be taking the next week to review the videos and determine the winners. Thank you to all who submitted a video!!

Just a reminder that we need you to submit all of your _un-reported _activity to date by Monday morning. The cash reward earners will be selected on Monday so be sure to keep yourself in the running!!

Earlier this week, the brand posted the MGD 64 product locator on www.mgd64.com. There is also a widget that is basically a smaller version of the locator that you can place on your personal pages and share with all of your friends. We highly encourage you to use and share this fun tool!

The widget is located: http://www.mgd64.com/locator/get_widget.html or can be downloaded from http://www.mgd64.com/.

  • Runner-up: $75 for the team member who submits/directs the video, $50 for each participating team member

I DID MY FIRST CENTURY! 100 miles on the bike following an old stage coach route through the desert. And, I did it on a tri bike, including climbs. (http://www.shadowtour.com/Century_Rides/2009_Stagecoach.htm) Besides sharing beer, water bottles, coupons and sweat bands, how does this relate to 110 bottles of beer? I burned 7040 calories. Coincidence? I think not.

Went to a New Years dinner hosted by a couple who had recently moved to Carlsbad from France. Of course, I took a cooler full of cold MGD 64. It turns out that France is divided into districts (like counties) called departements. The hostess is from Departemente 64, a luxurious coastal area on the Spanish border best known for Biarritz.

She was very excited that we brought a beer especially for her and her origins. (see photo)

HAPPY NEW YEARS ALL!

Tinsel Triathlon

Posted by Rich Southard Jan 5, 2009

I went to Hemet for a triathlon. This is a fun one because it is backward - run first, swim last. While I had been worried about racing in the rain (really more worried about crashing in the rain), when I got there, there was frost on the ground. I don't own cold weather running gear anymore and no cold weather cycling stuff.

Let me tell you, an elf hat does a great job keeping your head warm. I wonder how some of the big guys I went by felt being passed by someone in elf shoes. It was another fastest 5K and a great ride. See the antlers and red nose in the pictures. I hung out at the bike rack with my cooler afterwards. People were really surpised to get a beer but they liked it after a good workout. Finally I am starting to here, "Oh, I saw this really funny commercial . . .".

It will go great with your home-cooked feasts as it is the lightest calorie beer on the market! Remember to take lots of photos and submit them with your reports by Sunday night.

  • San Diego: 250

The overall market high score for the month of November is currently 300 points. You still have 5 days to beat out the competition - we know that you can do it!

PICTURE THIS: Beach Bunnies. Movie Premiers. You and 11 of your closest friends running day and night. Starting in the American Riviera, Santa Barbara, your team of 12 runners will embark on a 177 mile adventure-fest. The party in your van will only get better as you leap frog your way down the beautiful Pacific Coast. You'll feel the ocean-spray as you fly past the star-studded Malibu, Ca and the "South-Swells" of Huntington Beach. The race (and your stamina) will wrap up where the spectacular bluffs meet the crashing waves of Dana Point.

This seems like something totally fun and insane to do together in April. I think Brian should organize a TeamMGD64 entry. If we can't get 1`2 from these two markets, who else of the 72 wants to play? Besides, we finish close to home.

Holiday Races

Posted by Rich Southard Nov 7, 2008

I just registered for the Oceanside Turkey Trot, the Turkey Tri in San Dimas and the Tinsel Tri in Hemet and the Holiday Bowl 5K. This may pretty much take care of the holiday race season.

If anyone wants to join in the fun and carpool to San Dimas or Hemet, let me know. The Tinsel Tri should be lots of fun because it is backward (run, bike, swim) and the swim is short if that is a worry for you.
